He's a good chance of being older but that's just stupid.

No reason to take Maker at 10. Trade down and gain picks or unload MCW if we were deadset on taking him. He could have been available at 20.

Not to mention he is the next Yi.

Will he be Gianiis? Will he be Yi? Somewhere in between?

Who cares? Waiting to develop a rookie anyway, might as well go for someone with upside.

I guess bag night #3 is in order.

WAAAAH they didn't draft who I wanted to we need to do a bag night despite this being the most talented, young team the Bucks have had in 20 years waaaah

I honestly wasn't interested in any of the guys available slotted around that spot. I think it's a really weak draft. Im kind of liking the pick. Now go get Papagiannis.

Yep.

I agree, but maybe with all this age stuff who knows. I actually don't hate him as a lotto ticket type big but think we probably could have gotten later by trading Monroe and or our seconds. At this spot would've token the safer risk in Skal. Throw in the agent cronyism and I roll my eyes. They better be sure he's 19

Strange you mention this, because I just said the same thing to my fiance. I used to LOVE Milwaukee, now I can't stand it. But my reasoning is because I love the country...I do think Milwaukee does have some aspect of this thinking though. Sudanese, Milwaukee looks like Disney World in comparison.

So what player at 10 do teams value so much that they would trade up for? You need a partner

I would've preferred Skal, Davis, or even Ellenson but holy **** some of you are overreacting. :o I'm willing to let this play out and see what the kid can do. Don't care that much if he's 23. Our window is in 3-8 years, he'll be in his prime. A dude that big that can shoot and move, man we have a unique team.

We picked a 24 year old that is not good at basketball at #10 in the first round because Schwartz said so.

Horrible pick. I'll root for the guy, i hope he does well.. but passing on a 20 y/o skilled basketball player in Sabonis for a 24 year old guy that is raw at best.. is just boneheaded.

I guess this is a dice roll: low floor, high ceiling. Maybe that's the thing to do in a draft that's not terribly strong.
Anyone have a guess on whether he'll be sent to developmental league or Europe, or be on the NBA team next year?

My only issue is value: some pundits think he could have been had in 2nd round.

Not happy with this pick, but I'll support the hell out of the kid. Hope it works out. And I really hope he isn't 22-24.

Doesn't have anywhere near Giannis' talent, doesn't have Yi's lack of testicles.

Initial reaction isn't a good one, but obviously I hope I'm wrong.

Worst case scenario is Gorgui Dieng. Could do alot worse for 10.
