Thon killed Wery. Rest in Power, sweet prince.

2016 claims another victim.

No matter what, Thon seems like a great kid (man) and hard worker. So right there, he's got a fan in me. Hope everyone shows him support, whether they liked the pick or not.

His strength is that pedigree. David Locke asked Chad Ford about it the other night. Chad said issue most teams had was that Thon never measurably improved in any skills the last three years.

I think we can totally support Thon on this board but at the same time have serious questions about the Kidd/Hammond front office partnership.

He needs better representation. The right connection makes all the difference.

My only solace is if Maker actually hits, he could be a great player whereas I never felt Potsie had a chance of anything.

But yeah, I'm depressed.

C'mon, you're confirming a bias here, PP. You're trying to rationalize the issue is with Hammond not Lasry/Kidd because you are invested in their supposed competence and championed it at the beginning. But Maker just happens to be another Schwartz client in a draft with very few and he went dramatically above slot. This pick smacks of conflict of interest and inexperience in the draft process that Hammond doesn't have. Giannis was taken at 15 in a horrid draft for collegiates, his b-ball i.q. + skill was evident in game play. I wanted him too. He also wasn't originally from a country with an under-developed infrastructure to have questions about his age. This is more like a Yi-style pick. It stinks of Potsie too, but Hammond was only around a couple months, and coincidence, that happened to be the only pick during the Hammond/Kohl era that was obviously bad.

All these picks are the Giannis effect.

Perchance are you thinking of someone whose name sounds like Def Sports?

Can confirm Thon and I were buddies in High school at school in Perth. I'm 27 and he was in his early 30s then so he should be at least 40 by now.

Thon apparently stayed in the gym for an hour and 45 minutes AFTER his workout with us to practice more. Don't think Yi played with his chair that long...

WAAAH, somebody living in reality tried to shatter my fantasy. WAAAH

My track record/reactions on Bucks' picks at this point is beyond reproach. I also have acknowledged the strength of the Big 3, which has nothing to do with the current f.o.'s decision makers if you're informed or honest w/ yourself. You have nothing but faux appeals to toughness when you're the one being whiny unjustifiably in reality.
With respect, unless you're in the meetings you have absolutely no clue what Hammond's (the guy who drafted our best player) contribution was to this selection. Just absolutely zero.

If the NBA could prove the Schwartz angle, that's something that could **** us over, no?
