I'm not complaining about Poeltl, but I'm actually more excited about this pick. Still I would want McCaw.

Holy mother of god. People are raving about Chriss being an athletic beast, but this guy looks just as good as Chriss. I have no idea how most other teams didn't scout this guy. For those who complain about Masai using a first rounder for him, do you think SA and GSW would have passed on him? SA, GSW and us have the best scouting teams imo. I wanted Skal with the 9th pick as well, but what the hell do I know about scouting or spotting talent ? I trust Masai, and I think he may have found a gem.

-Amazing Strides down the court
-Finish around the rim
-Can shoot the mid range jumper at a high rate
-Very well spoken for someone being from cameroon.
-Seems very lanky and atheltic.

Watch boys we won't miss Biz that much, but we do have two options for biz in Poeltl and Paskal.

Was this a Biz play?

Biz says, "Hmm, I can play with a team that is fun, with another African, where the fans love me, for an obscene amount of money (compared to the average wage in the Congo), or I can make double the obscene amount and maybe not have as much fun, or be loved as much."

His wingspan and motor are the only intrigueing aspects of his.

Older, lower ceiling, limited offensive game, not fluid with the ball at all, free throws are Biz-level bad, and not very strong for someone born in 94.

He could have been taken in the late second round imo.

that's what I meant, that it's a good thing he's nowhere near an unathletic Biyombo.

I don't know anything about him, but the fact that he's an elite rebounder with hustle & length makes me think this could be a Faried like pick...

Davis should've been the pick hands down. Why even bother.

22 years old but depending on what we do in FA I wonder if he'll just be Brunos new BFF on the 905 for a few years

Never heard of him but I'm no scout and didn't know much about any of these guys really. Just going off what I heard or read as the draft was coming up. I trust Masais decision. Seems like a high energy big.

Best part is I already got a nick for him.Paskal Knock Em Siakim.

TL;DR: He plays like Biyombo lol

Yeah he's African and has a good motor. That's where the similarities end.

He can actually shoot, with the potential to shoot from 3. He seems to be able to create his own shot and has some decent skill around the basket. Seems faster and has better hops. Also completely different body type. But yeah, he's African.

ya i heard we wore using IBM Watson for our draft pick (not a joke, look it up)

i hope its algorithim factored in that Paskal played on a horrible NCAA conference where the compitition is weak

Maybe the guy who drafted Kenneth Faried out of the OVC had some input?
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

I'd never heard of this guy, but watching clips it seems like a Powell situation (who many had never heard of either). Seems very much like a Biyombo replacement.

If Masai thought Skal and Davis weren't worth a pick, I don't have any issue with that. This guy looks promising.

Another similarity is that neither went to a powerhouse program/conference in the NCAA.

People hated Powell pick last year, I see this pick the same way.. The thing I like about Pascal already is that he is relentless rebounder which gives me hope that at least Masai found another Faried late 1rd ..
