No worries, I'll explain itfor you, if those were bad picks and they went lottery, what makes you think you can wait 10 picks to get a guy you want?

Look at you, you think you're so smart.

If you're the only franchise that covets or values a player you realize you can trade down, right? Sometimes the value of the pick itself outweighs the value of the player you draft. The Siakam pick is whatever, that was late first round. If you're going to burn a lottery pick on a player you could have got later in the draft you've made a mistake.

Masai made the pick, not me. I think it was a good pick.
Poeltl was a good pick too

*Shrugs*

Poeltl was a fantastic pick. Safe to say, I would've gone a different direction at 27. Drafting Skal and trading him for whomever takes Siakam for you while getting an asset would've been smarter but what's done is done.

It has nothing to do with the criticism of the player it is trying to milk your assets. Skal would've peaked someones interest, I am sure. Even if you get Siakam and a 2nd rounder it would still be a 2nd rounder you didn't have prior in a trade.

What I said. He wants to play well enough for his team to wanna offer him another contract which means he performed up to expectations. Where's the confusion? He doesn't sound like the most articulate guy so he probably had trouble expressing himself.

No, I agree with what you said. What I meant was why were other posters saying that his comment might be looked at negatively by teams. There seems to be nothing wrong with what he said at all.

Do you want a guy where it seems that his sole motivation at this point appears to be money? Especially when he hasn't proven all that much at the college level and hasn't proven anything at this point at the pro level.

Plus, if he's saying this type of stupid **** in public, I can just imagine what he said during the private interviews.

Sorry, my bad. Teams could look at it that statement negatively by thinking he is selfish and only cares about being paid. Most players give the stock answer of "I just wanna do what I can to make the team better"

It's frustrating because our highest ceiling player on our roster plays the same position as Poetl. He doesn't have a high ceiling on this team. I hope there's a trade incoming.

So Davis doesn't have to worry about his 2nd NBA contract, he needs to worry about his first one.

Is Siakam even near NBA ready? Could he contribute a little bit this year with Byombo gone? Or is this another 2 years away from being 2 years away?

Bucks had a good draft... Clippers has a good draft - Nuggets had a perfect draft - Denver is going to be a great team if Murray can be a star

Would be a boring forum if everyone liked everything masai did.

I haven't liked one draft pick Masai made. His best pick so far is Norman Powell. And technically he was taken by Milwaukee.

Wright was a very good pick. Powell was good. Poetl is good. Have to figure out who the hll Siakam is. Sounded like King of Siam.

Patterson, Siakam, JV, Biz, Pöltl, Bebe...yeah, too many bigs, especially considering one of Carroll/Ross is likely to be moved for cap space next week, leaving us with just DeRozan, Powell and Carroll/Ross on the wings (because Bruno is still two years away).

Legit lol, I feel bad for him. But he just comes off as slow or just not there. I can see why teams passed.

Bucks did you say Bucks? That was without a doubt the most insane reach of all time.

Sometimes you have to see a setback as a blessing. He needed a wakeup call, he got one. He will get a guaranteed deal, I am sure. If this doesn't motivate him, nothing will.
