Damn it, I wanted Korkmaz more than Valentine as well. You guys have had an A+ draft, seriously.

One of my favourite's, very solid pick. Could not have hoped for more than Luwawu + Korkmaz

He reminds me a little of Brent Barry.

Rumor--trade to Houston for Patrick Beverly. I'd be OK with that.

Have your GM call BC. Ill gladly trade Korkmaz for Valentine.

He needs to tag into the lineup over there and tag Saric out to Philly.

I could be wrong, but he plays (pertaining to style) like a smaller, quicker and more athletic version of Hedo.

Are the Sixers keeping the rights to Korkmaz? There was a rumor last night about him being dealt to Houston.

I for one would like to see him kept as a draft & stash. Furkan has the potential to be a valuable bench piece on a contender.

Supposedly trying to get Beverly, didn't bite though.

So, how long does he take to come over? Does this increase Saric's chances of STAYING in Turkey, or does it go the other way?

What does Furkan project as once he gets here?

I was actually thinking he plays like (again, pertaining to style) a bigger, slower, probably more athletic version of Stephen Curry. Confident in his outside shot with a lightning quick release and uses a live dribble to get to his spots. Kind of a similar swagger in the way he does this and toys with defenders a bit like Curry.

Given his age and build, I think Korkmaz stays in Turkey for at least one if not two years so he can further his development. I do not believe that this has any impact on Saric's situation.

Once he comes to the U.S., Korkmaz seems to project to an athletic wing (3) bench piece who can shoot and hit an open three. With growth and development, he can become a contributor to a good NBA team (which hopefully the Sixers will become when he is ready to come over).
