Pacers #50 pick

Post#1 » by Scoot McGroot » Fri Jun 24, 2016 3:21 am

Well, we traded out of the 1st for Thad Young, but we still have #50, and it's coming up quickly. With Brogdon being picked #36, there's still quite a bit of talent left!

Stephen Zimmerman
Joel Bolomboy
Michael Gbinije
Gary Payton II
Ben Bentil

Boston took Demetrius Jackson at 45.
Dallas took AJ Hammonds at 46.

Good pieces still there. Looks like we can get another PF here.

Also, Georges Niang.

I think we'd go BPA considering there ain't no much good big men in the pool.

Always worry when a guy we liked goes on the next pick. But if they like niang over Benton, I'll trust them.

Hmm, don't know anything about Niang so can't comment.
My picks would have been Ben Bentil or Gary Payton

Not bad. What little I knew of Niang, I like the pick! Averaged 20 and 6 last year. Kind of a tweener, but a nice pick to get some run in the small-ball front court. Also, durable, doesn't look like he missed (hardly) any games all 4 years of college

Well, Payton, Barber, Uthoff, Selden, Carter, Yogi, Troy Williams, etc. Lots of undrafted guys. Start making some calls. Let's get some talent in on tryouts.

Based off of his highlights it appears he has handles and vision. He'll get all the pt he can handle in the SL and with it a chance to crack the back end. At the minimum he seems like a good candidate for the Mad Ants.
