Summer League Thread

Post#1 » by Spens1 » Fri Jun 24, 2016 4:22 am

Is it too early, i don't really care

who should be invited

If it where up to me:

Gary Payton II (criminal he didn't get drafted)
Wayne Snelden (to get a closer look, could be a decent S.G)
Kat Barber (interesting P.G himself)
Rob Carter Jr (good P.F and could easily have gone at the end of the 2nd)
Kyle Witjer (decent stretch 4, maybe an upgrade to Ryan Kelly?).

Our Summer League roster right now is Ingram, Nance, Brown, hopefully Zubac is here by then and I heard also Russell. I also heard we invited some 7'2 French guy to come play in summer lague.

I'm kinda confused about Russell though. Isn't he supposed to be with the Select team? Doesn't that schedule conflict with summer league?

Have a feeling we're going to invite Nance's former teammate at Wyoming, Josh Adams:

Vegas summer league runs from July 8-18. Select team starts training on July 18 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm

Russell could just skip the last summer league game or play after the training (assuming the Lakers make it that far).
July 18th is the championship game, which starts at 6pm.

Everyone else faced with far less tenacity.

Same thing that's happening to Caitlin Clark.

Hope they sign Jarrod Uthoff. 6"10 with a 7 foot wing span can flat out shoot the ball. He is already 23 but who cares can play some 3 and 4 given his shooting ability. Not the greatest defender but has high bball IQ.

3rd year+ players typically don't play in Summer League (unless they're really bad or if they're recovering from some injury). I'm sure they will be at practice though.
