I can't believe no one took Payton or Barber. I'd give invites to them and Uthoff for sure!

Stephen Zimmerman
Joel Bolomboy
Michael Gbinije
Gary Payton II
Ben Bentil
Cat Barber
Kay Felder
Jarrod Uthoff
Wayne Selden
Zhou Qi
Diamond Stone
Robert Carter
AND MORE!

Man, I wouldve loved to somehow get Brogdon in the 2nd...but then again he seems like he would fit better in a smashmouth offense.

I was surprised Bentil fell so low and we passed...but he must have some red flags with the scouts. I know his D isnt special, but some of the video I watched of him wowed me.

Niang seems like a solid pick. No complaints really about how things are working out. Excited to see if we move one of Stuckey or Ellis...although if Monta is on board with coming off the bench he could be a legit contender for 6th man of the year.

I wish Stuckeys 3 pt % from 2 years ago wasnt a complete anomoly. He was just so disappointing last year, and id be thrilled to swap him him with Courtney Lee or even Eric Gordon.

Niang is a good pick didn't know of him till the pick, but he's a 20 pts per game scorer and shot 39.2% from 3pt range. Solid pick.

Yeah I never really watched Iowa State, but remember seeing his name and putting up some monster statlines throughout the season. Seems like he got better each year at Iowa State.

He may be an upgrade over Whittington...feel like he has a better shot and bball IQ.

He's definitely more natural in the role we're asking Whittington to learn in Ft. Wayne the last two years. Essentially, we've been trying to convert Whittington to play like Niang.

As far as I know, Golden State was high on Niang, and was considering him at 30. To me he's kinda similar to fellow ex-Iowa State star Royce White. Maybe a lite version of him. He's in the mold of a Draymond Green or a Denzel Valentine - not so overly athletic players but are very cerebral.

I think we'd go BPA considering there ain't no much good big men in the pool.

This board is so refreshing compared to Pacers Digest. Unbelievable how many threads there get hijacked by whiners and Bird-haters (although its always a select few).

One of the mods is seriously upset about our pick at 50. Thats just hilarious to me.

He was quite high on my list but did not expect him to still be there at 50. Really good draft for the Pacers.

Just saw a video of him for the very first time, but he seem to be a player I would have taken.

Smart senior, good shooter, will push Whittington to develop that 3 point shot.

As I said before the draft, if you freak out over our pick at 50, I reserve the right to make fun of you (that other mod you mentioned). That's just silly. It's the 50th pick. You're just pre-picking a non-drafted guy. IF we really like them, we'll already have contacted them about signing as an undrafted.

Time to move on to free agency. I had hoped we'd buy picks. That we didn't tells me our talent judges weren't as impressed as I had been. Second guessing is dumb. The college scouts do this for a living. They didn't see players ready to contribute. If Robinson and Christmas are more ready than Bentil or Bolomboy, we didn't need to spend millions to buy players for the Ants.

Good pick, from the little research I've put into him, he could actually get some minutes. Hope that's the case.

Was not surprised that Cat Barber went undrafted. He had a little hype coming into the private workouts but it gradually diminished.

Players I wasn't expecting to go undrafted were Alex Polythress and Kyle Wiltjer.

I love the fact that Niang can score and shoot from distance. If we play uptempo his game fits the roster day 1. He hay struggle on defense, but can come in and knock down open shots immediately.

He is not a project. He is one of the top 5 shooters in the draft. He fell due to being a Sr. And lacking elite athleticism. I will take his stroke and iq at 50 all day!

I've caught Iowa State games for one reason or another in the Tournament over the years. I was always impressed with Niang. If it turns out he is athletic enough there are some skills that would be nice. Shooter, passer, willing to mix it up. I could see him challenging Lavoy for minutes at the 4. I liked Laymon at this pick but hadn't really thought about Niang.

Just quoting myself on Polythress. This is a good year for me draft-wise. Lol.

I failed to edit my mocks in nbadraft and draftexpress though.
