Westbrook > Rose
Melo > Oladipo
KP > Adams
Noah or Pau > Kanter
Willy H = Sabonis

I think we have the edge still. Thunder lost interior defense by trading Ibaka.

I admit, I never watched single game of any of those players. But I heard Derrick Jones and Prince Ibeh, are super athletic, so maybe they should be target to develop in D-league? Are they any chances that those guys could learn enough basketball skills to play in NBA?

Derrick Jones is arguably one of if not the best finishers in college basketball and is known for his terrific athleticism. His skills are somewhat iffy though as he relies a lot on his crazy athletic ability.

Prince Ibeh has terrific athleticism for a near 7 footer. Reminds me a little of Sam Dalembert when he was younger. Problem with Ibeh is a combination of lack of refined skill and lack of a killer instinct...a real bad combo. He flashes some great ability but just doesn't seem to really want to play hard or be great.

One guy I'm still very interested in is Brandon Austin. He's a 6'6"-6'7" PG that has a lot of physical and basketball talent. Problem is that he's had quite a few run in's with the legal system and was kicked out of two schools for being a real bad boy. Supposed did real well with the Sixers during pre-draft workouts and was considered by some scouts to have been the top player in his HS class.

Mostly garbage

Yogi Ferrell plays the point but I doubt he can carry even a backup role.

Most of the others are taken or I am not interested in, just depressing

I think we have the edge still. Thunder lost interior defense by trading Ibaka.

I was talking about this same thing earlier with my friend, but the strong selling point I was talking about was being in the East with that lineup. KD will check out Rose this offseason and see where he is at Im sure.

Yeah man. Getting to the finals in the East is a much easier task to do vs. the West. Once you make the finals & you're in the dance for the ship, anything can happen much like with this Cavs/Warriors series.
In the West, you most likely not even getting a chance to get to the finals.
Thunder have no cap space to make any more improvements. This Ibaka trade was it.
Spurs, Mavs & Warriors can all add another piece or so.

Its not crazy to think that this scenario becomes attractive to KD. Not sure if you caught some of the players tweets about this rose trade but they are surprised. I think the players know he was trying to get through last season healthy and had a rough start with the orbital issue while being unhappy with the org. Sometimes the players have a better pulse on this than fans or what advanced stats show.

The only question I would have would be the shots, the shots that would have to be distributed. Melo would have to really turn into a draymond type 4. Distribute, facilitate out of the post, rebound at a higher rate and defend on a nightly basis. But you make it work.

Ainge is a good trading partner for the Knicks. He has like 25 players who were picked in the last 3 years and the Knicks currently have a roster of 6. Too bad they aren't cash strapped. :D
