Malachi Richardson

Big SG with a long reach, can drop bombs. Cheap contract.

I'm happy.

June 23, 2016 – The Charlotte Hornets selected Malachi Richardson with the 22nd pick in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft. The Hornets are currently in discussions to trade the rights to Richardson; however the team will not be able to consummate any potential trade until after the moratorium period ends July 7. The organization will have no further comment on this pick until those trade discussions are completed.

Marco will be better off this year than last most likely.

I don't think he is horrendous money considering my assumption he regains form.

But if you can grab a prospect like this for him and wanted out of the contract, you laugh all the way to the bank.

At worst we saved cap space.

what did you think about the draft as a whole? i'm not going to say it's a steal or anything, but i'm happy because it sorta looks like their mindset has changed.

I'm confused by the actual selection at 13.

The trade was fine though, but I'd have to think there is more coming, and what we picked at 13 likely could have been selected later.

we deserve it.

this deal makes no sense at all, we wanted to use 22 to move a contract but instead we traded it for another.

are we even sure Marco is better than Lamb or Daniels?

it sucks even more considering who was left on the board.

This sounds about as bad as the Vasquez trade last year. WTF? This can't be the whole story?

I am not as confused as most would seem to be by this. I keep hearing that there is a very real market for Kosta Koufos. If that is the case or its a situation where the inclusion of KK finalizes a bigger deal elsewhere then I would say that they just drafted their new backup Center.

At the time, I didn't know Vlade believed George would be gone by 22. How true that is I have no idea, plenty of mocks were off today.

I agree KK can be moved too.

But as far as the Hornet trade, we couldn't of done better than this. Let's hope Richardson works out.
