Good to hear. Bring on the young rebuild. At least we don't have to watch larkin or sloan anymore!

Big IU fan here and I think Yogi has a chance to make it in the league. He's a dead eye shooter and i've never seen a college player with his ability to stop on a dime, pull up, and hit the 3 in transition. Seemed like he hit that type of shot 75% of the time he took it. He's got serious speed, good court vision, and showed he can defend at a high level when focused this past season. I wish him the best of luck in Brooklyn!
Paul George is a superstar. Deal with it

Congrats on getting the biggest steal in the draft! Yogi is a game changer. It's a crime that he wasn't drafted.

You think Isaiah Thomas goes 60th overall if they did the 2011 draft over again today?

NBA scouts and GM's are focused too much on size. That's why they still draft 10 European players in the first round every year when 99 out of 100 seem to fail in the NBA. The hit or miss percentage is far worse than the NFL draft.
Yogi was the first team Big Ten point guard two years running and shot over 40% from 3 point range in his last 3 seasons. You should feel lucky to have him considering the lack of talent on the Nets roster right now.

I wonder what kind of chance Yogi has to stick around. It never really felt like Boatright had a real chance last year.

hollins never game him enough playing time and when boatright played, he couldnt defend anyone and sloan ran team better and had nba experience. yogi chance depends if we get a quality free agent point guard. i dont want jack back coming from an acl injury.

It' wasn't an ACL injury. It was a Achilles tear which is even worse.

Re: Nets sign Yogi Farrell to partial guarantee
I was shocked he didn't get drafted based on his collegiate performance. I thought his success at Indiana warented at least a potential 2nd round pick. I guess those in NBA circles didn't have the same sentiment.
At any rate, Yogi has a good chance to make the Nets roster if they want to stick with the youth movement after bringing in a veteran starter in my opinion. While his measurables or dimensions aren't desirable to play at the next level, he makes up for it with his BBIQ. Everything I've read speaks highly of his character and work ethic. He also strikes me as a player Atkinson can develop and get the most out of. There is no question Yogi will need some development to succeed in the league. If Brooklyn doesn't feel he's a fit just yet the D league is a good start, too. May not be the glamorous road to the league but Yogi could work his way up if need be. I'm anxious to watch him in SL and hope his play is adequate for a shot on the roster.
