I've always wondered if these guys are instructed to tweet out #WeTheNorth or not lol. Pretty awesome if they do it themselves tho, shows we made it.

jonas gets under players skin by his physicality and pressure on the o boards. turbo pascal will do the same thing by going after every loose ball. we are going to frustrate alot of frontcourts. we just need to find another player that can score on the wing to balance it all out.

No...I'll criticize whenever I want. Are you trying to say people should never question and speculate on decisions? There is no way that I need to hear people telling me when I can criticize things. I am criticizing your post right now and it's making me happy. Plus, you are giving scouts and GM's to much credit...over the years the consensus on this forum has been as accurate if not more accurate than most GM's in the league.

Has it really? Can you prove that or did that just come out of your a$$..? What has the consensus been saying?

I can't prove it but I do remember a conversation I had with legendary forum moderator Supersub about this many years ago and he said he had noticed the same thing. GM's have improved since then but still not to a level where they are really that good overall.

I've seen quotes from his coaches/scouts who also said his outside shot could make him play the 3, but I don't see it. For someone whose 22 he's not very fluid with the ball and the NBA is going small anyway.

I'm reallt hoping Casey lets the rookies see the light of day but i'm sure he won't.

This team is likely to sign another old, finished, 33+ year old PF.

Got to be blunt here, didn't like the pick at all yesterday when we drafted him, especially since we had the opportunity to grab Skal or Davis. However, after watching tape of him and getting a better look at his background, he seems like a solid pick here.

Before getting into what I like about him, he has a soccer background which gives him a significant advantage, in terms of footwork and quickness. I think Masai scouted him with this in mind, thinking back about great players who've had great foot work in the post, a la Hakeem. Of course i'm not saying that he's going to turn into Hakeem but this minor detail of his soccer skills I think will translate effectively on the court if it already hasn't.

I really like almost everything I've seen about this kid so far, honestly. He's a high BBIQ player, soft hands, great foot work, excellent passing ability, mobile, extremely efficient, capable defender, high motor, some post skills, decent shot blocker, can switch onto the guard in the PNR, fantastic court awareness, etc… There's really not much that you can't love about this kid. I can see him becoming a versatile and valuable player.

There are some things he needs to work on as well though. Like his efficiency with his shot and a more polished offensive game as a whole. He has good mechanics with his shot, he just needs to be more confident when he shoots. He's also not an elite athlete at all but that's not necessarily a bad thing because he has length to make up for it. He's definitely not a perfect player yet but I think he can contribute sooner rather than later, which is why he was picked. Hopefully as early as next season.

I had the same reaction... Looking at my computer screen going WTF...

Thought we we getting gift from the gods having Skal drop to us. But after researching him I really like this pick. especially when I went to the draft board and noted several guys who I think really really know their stuff were calling Siakam their sleeper pick and someone they thought should be lotto. And a good draft article that had Siakam at 15.

Most of the major draft pundits overlooked him, but I believe that is more a function of what school he attended versus his actual talent.

I'm not sure if this has already been posted earlier, but here's a highlight video that one of my friends made of Siakam.

I've seen him being labeled as a high IQ guy, which is surprising since he started basketball so late. If true, that would be awesome. High energy long athletic guys with high basketball IQ are invaluable. We know their impact from having Amir for so long.

It seems Pascal is spelled with a 'c'. In the thread title it's spelled with a 'k'.
