Majority of players drafted 27 are out of the league after their initial contract. There was no mystery injury being reported so Deyonta Davis seemed to have bombed the whole predraft workouts/interview. I'm guessing he went into his workouts in poor shape and thought he could just go through the motions and get paid. He probably came off as someone that is not willing to put in the work to improve. Combine that with his subpar season at MSU and you have teams passing up on him
From what I've read and seen I love the fact that Siakam competes hard. I picture him being that annoying guy at the YMCA who picks you up full court while you just want to get some cardio in and shoot a few jumpers.
He will have to refine his jumper but I expect him to be a fan favorite just with his energy and hustle. Seems like a good fit with Casey and the team culture. He won't be the most skilled player but I don't see many players outworking him. Although he's 22 he started playing bball late so he still has some upside.
