Presti claimed Brown will shine under coash Stevens and Celtics will be one of the fastest teams in the league.

Both Presti and Riley think Jaylen could become the next Vince Carter & Dwayne Wade type of player.

Presti also said Bender could become franchise player - the best player to come out of this draft once he gets NBA expetience and adds more muscle to his frame.

I am now in peace with Danny and the org. not making any trades. Unless you can get Durant and Butler - we are NOT competing for the championship. 99.9% we don't get KD or Butler so what is the point of wasting money on someone who will not change the face of the franchise ? Kevin Durant is the only player that could do this.

There are 3-4 FRANCHISE players coming out in the next year draft. Nets most likely will be the worst team in the league.

Next year Celtics should try to get Russel Westbrook.

I like Jimmy Butler, but he is not worth 3rd pick, Bradley + Jae or Smart. FAHK THAT! That 3rd pick could be the next Kobe Bryant! YOU NEVER EVER KNOW.

I predict that Simmons will be a bust (GREG ODEN) and Ingram will be successful like Durant.

Please discuss

I agree that Brown has that upper level potential.

But I'm shocked he thinks Bender can become the best player out of the draft.

What big is better than prime Wade? A Shaq/Duncan/KG level I guess?

I dont see the comparision. I still think Dunn is a better prospect than him. I see him as a prospect like a Winslow but i like Winslow better because he is more controlled. I went to his high school games since my nephew went to the same school. He barrels right to the lane mostly straight line down the hill type player. He is going to vastly struggle slashing in the Pro where there are bigger bodies and he will struggle in half court sets.
He will be a good player but i really dont like his ceiling, but if he puts in work who knows. BTW Pat Riley is awful at drafting, OTOH Presti is really good.

I swear Banners is secretly a Berkley graduate and is just hyping up Brown for the sake of it.

Presti has aced some very high draft picks. (Jeff Green is sort of an exception, but that's almost solely because Noah came after him, so he's not exactly a big miss.)

Love Dunn because he is off the hook slick.. But Brown is looking pretty sweet too. Put me on team Jaylen.. Best talent we have picked since Pierce..

Banners is really hitching his wagon to this Brown kid. Hard to see how he shows his face here ever again if the rookie busts. :wavefinger:

3 things.

1. He won't bust.
2. He won't bust.
3. He won't bust.

Barring injuries, this kid is our best draft pick since Pierce and our 3rd best draft pick since Bias. He's that talented. People are really sleeping on this kid. If he had gone to Kentucky or Duke than everyone would have been calling this a "3 man draft" and one of the best in years. His biggest mistake was going to play on the west coast for a mediocre hoops program and a mediocre coach that surrounded him with ham and eggers. He should have went and played for Calipari or Coach K to get his game ready. He is every bit as talented as Ingram and he's more athletic and has a more pro-ready body.

actually his running buddy was ivan rabb who would have been a top 10 pick if he had come out.

but agree about the coaching. cuonzo martin has no clue hot to coach offense. he is pretty good with D but the offensive scheme was a trainwreck. brown isn't going to look nearly so confused once he settles into a role in brad's offense. that role being the same one butler would have played here had we gotten him.

brown has the highest ceiling of anyone in this draft. and i don't think it's that close frankly.

People are allowed to be wrong haha. I'm completely on the Brown bandwagon. Have been for a year. Glad he is actually a Celtic now, and he is quite easily our best prospect since Pierce. Let's see if he has the work ethic to become good. I feel he does.

True, But he has long arms with an almost 7 foot wingspan and a 8' 6.5" Standing Reach. The only guy that blows that out of the water is Ingram and he is just a freak of nature.

Jaylen Brown is an elite athlete. His situation reminds me of Westbrook coming out of UCLA. Everyone thought Presti reached for Westbrook at #4...worked out well for OKC. Different positions, but hopefully Jaylen Brown works homself into a stud player.
One thing I really like about him is he has that rare ability to rebound the basketball then take it coast to coast, and before you blink he was just a 1 man fast break ala Westbrook, LeBron. Jaylen can do that....he will throw down on some IT and KD lobs this year in transition too. Jaylen Brown will be a highlight film
