yep, that's 6 blocks with him playing NEXT to Adams....why are people trying to push Vuc out the starting lineup and to a lesser extent, the team? I swear man some posters were crying all season saying either we get rim protection next to vuc or trade him...then we land pretty much the ideal player that compliments vuc with rim protection AND spacing but people still beating that "trade vuc" drum...it's almost like they didn't get the memo that we got a rim protector now or something, they need to just call a spade a spade and just admit they don't like vuc.

It's probably because this guy named Aaron Gordon really blossomed at the PF position.

serge isn't playing center full time, he's a small ball 5 so i guess that's the point people are debating

Ibaka has a 9'3" reach and a 7'3" wingspan. Plus I really feel like the Magic are going to make a strong push to get Batum to start at the 3. Fournier and Batum could be the French connection. Ibaka was in France when he got traded maybe the players are talking with each other.

Yeah if serge is a small ball 5 than why the heck do people want Horford here at C still? Makes ZERO sense to me.

I think the Magic refocus their attention to a player like Batum.

Serge/Al would be a very interesting frontcourt pair... guys that can defend both frontcourt positions AND stretch the floor on the other end. Is there any other frontcourt combo like that?

Yes, I think that would be Aaron Gordon and Ibaka. Gordon can guard 5s and did so last year.

Gordon would be hit or miss defending 5s and he's not a good 3pt shooter (yet).

If Gordon can become a good 3 point shooter it will solve a lot of question marks on this roster.

That being said, Horford is not a great 3 point shooter by any means.

yeah people want AL here but that was mostly before the trade, now people are wondering if we're still pursuing him. idc what anyone says serge isn't a full time 5 to me, when we run small then it makes sense. Horford has always been a 4 to me

If he does improve his 3pt shot then he would be a pretty lethal SF... able to defend the lebrons, durants and PGs of the league while also not being a liability with shooting. Able to attack and pass, too. Now imagine pairing a player like that with Ibaka/Horford. Lots of versatility on both ends of the floor with a trio like that.

I just don't think Horford is happening. But it would be a great front court. I have friends in ATL who are are telling me that the Hawks are going to max him out, and are basically announcing it to the fanbase.

Also Horford shot 39 percent from 3 in the playoffs on high volume. It was his first year taking 3s consistently, too.

Bro serge absolutely can play the 5, dubs play their death lineup with Dray there and Cavs won it all playing Thompson there

Don't think so, but it will be awkward if Vuc gets traded after his tweet to Ibaka about changing his number...

For sure he can and we may need him to when teams switch to small ball at the end of quarters. The Dubs don't play Draymond Green at the 5 full time. Vuc next to Ibaka is about as perfect as it get's. Offense, Defense/Rim protection AND rebounding.

AG to me is a good 4 but still to small too play the position as he does get's pushed around. Definitely good but when you put him at the 3 he would be an ELITE defender and if he continues to show improvement on his shot then we are going to win a lot of games.

Ibaka is so quick at the 4 that he can swat away or change shots on just about anyone at any distance. Put him next to AG who also has elite speed and we become a top 5 defensive team in the league in my view. We are going to see a lot of block's, steals and missed shots and as they say, defense leads to offense as this team has the athleticism to take advantage of it.
