This video is already edited and still contains Payton missing a shot.. :-? Quite worrisome..

I thought his release looked a little more fluid. Seemed to be getting the ball higher and more flick on the wrists and a better follow through. I did see the ball brush off his hair a few times which is annoying to me. Looks like he has made some refinements to his shot.

Apparently the only way for a PG to score is from the 3pt line...

Also, you're gonna need a player to get the ball to these guys in position to score. Elf is amongst the best in that regard. He's the guy who will run that TEAM.

I guess you don't get what I mean.

As assembled, the team will be starting Gordon at SF and Elfrid at PG. That dramatically shrinks the court for us because we only have one really lethal 3 point shooter in that lineup in Evan. Vogel has already stated that he wants a 3 point shooting offense.

We either need a guy like Conley, who is an all-star PG that can shoot the 3 very well. Hell, he does everything very well, including pass the ball. Or we bench Gordon and sign a SF like Parsons.

I don't want to bench Gordon, I think he is our best young prospect and he was a major contributor in our starting lineup.

To be clear, I am a huge fan of Mario and Elf, but I don't have either one of them starting this season. And that's ok. It's not a slight on those guys one bit. They are going to log a lot of minutes. Injuries happen, trades happen, development happens. We need a strong 9 man rotation anyway.

I don't see one person getting upset that Mario is probably not going to start this year but if we mention bringing in Conley, who is an incredible talent that could take us to top 4 in the east with Serge, suddenly we have given up on our players. It's ridiculous.

Common sense is so refreshing. Not because we don't think a player is ready to start or we don't think two players fit a starting line up doesn't mean we don't like he players. Honest is honest. Look at Dennis Schroder in Atlanta. He's been groomed and now getting his shot to start. Nothing wrong with a guy sitting until he's ready. Elf isn't ready in my opinion.

To be fair, Schroeder was ready to start since 2014.
