Yeah, great stuff, but a bad pitch. Almost all of his fastballs have been 98+ and that breaking ball looks a bit better than I remember it being.

schultz was really impressive despite giving up the jack imo

a truly humbling stretch for the cocky marcus stroman, whose twitter and snapchat accounts have been unusually inactive the past couple weeks or so

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

The cockiness I don't mind so much, but obviously he is struggling.

I agree re: Stroman. I like him but the dude got too distracted with music videos, his social media feed and the ridiculously rampant "the 6ix" culture.. probably bought into his own hype a little.. and the fact that he was basically handed the job back on a silver platter once he returned from injury last season, he wasn't made to win his job back. A little bit of adversity will be good for him.. Either start skipping him, put him in the bullpen or send him down.. He needs a reality check to get that chip on his shoulder back.

You do realize that after he was 'handed his job back' last season he was immediately our best pitcher for the finals few weeks and the playoffs? Are you really using this as a criticism of some sort?

I never said that he wasn't great when he came back. All I am saying is that he probably got too comfortable knowing that he doesn't have to prove his worth anymore.. sometimes that could make people complacent if they know their job is safe.. All his life he had to battle naysayers who thought he was too small to be a major league pitcher let alone a starter.. he carried a chip on his shoulder to prove people wrong all the time.. and now, he hasn't had to lately until his rough patch.. even now, they're continuing to trot him out.. Just need to move him to the pen or send him down until he gets his head straight and realizes that he will always need to prove people wrong, all the time. His stuff is great, the fire is missing.
