You're not getting Taj for Meeks, that's just not happening

What about for Bullock? Or just for our cap space?

if we can't get either delly or horford these are the point guards & power forwards i'd like on this team

point guards : ray mccallum, beno udrich, mo williams, jeremy lin, aaron brooks, brandon jennings, ronnie price (maybe mario chalmers)

power forwards: mareese speights, bismack biyombo, jordan hill, marvin williams, terrence jones, james johnson,

Ronnie Price and Beno Udruh ain't much different than Blake. Speights is slow as molasses.

This offseason will be INSANE. 12-14 is basically the new MLE in a league with an INSANE amount of cap space.

Flip Meeks for Jarret Jack and his non guaranteed contract. Waive him & Should be around $20 million in cap.

Of course kick the tires on Horford but I just don't see him coming here.

Then focus on either Darrell Arthur or Andrew Nicholson. Deal around 3 years 30 million. I prefer Arthur but was a fan of Nicholson coming out of college.

Then sign J. Bayless to a 1 or 2 year deal around 7 million per. He is #5 in the NBA in catch and shoot.

SVG said he'd like to add 2 more bigs so I'm hoping that Jarvis Varnado impresses in camp.

Jackson/Bayless
KCP/Hilliard/Bullock/MG
Morris /Johnson
Harris/Arthur or Nicholson/Ellenson
Dre/Baynes/Varnado

^I don't think Brooklyn wants any salary back when dangling Jack. Probably a second rounder or something, I mean they're saying they'll waive him before contract becomes guaranteed otherwise.

EDIT - to correct myself it seems like they are dangling him with the idea they'd get something in return for a team who wants cap space. I don't think Meeks would be what they're looking for, but I'm sure Bowers will call to make sure.

Ding Ding!

The only thing I know about Ish Smith is watching Inside the NBA one night, the Sixers were playing, and Ish was playing so well that Barkley and Kenny kept saying, "That's the way you get traded out of Philadelphia! Keep making dem buckets, Ish!"

Great signing!

Probably incredibly unrealistic, but Dirk Nowitzki. People are saying if he leaves Dallas he'll go somewhere like GS but why not spend your last couple years shooting jumpers for Detroit? Great fit and with the team we've got we would be competing for Finals visits. I'm sure he and SVG have a mutual respect and he would be a great mentor for Ellenson.

If he goes anywhere, it will be so strange to see him out of the Dallas uniform.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

I can't see it happening, but that would be pretty amazing.

Nope. He wouldn't be close to making it over Hilliard or Gbinije. Detroit's roster is full.

CDR. We already put him through a free agent minicamp http://www.nba.com/pistons/features/detroit-flavor-pistons-3-day-free-agent-camp-includes-crawford-douglas-roberts/ I'm guessing we weren't impressed.

He needs to just put himself into the NBADL draft and join a team that way.

From now on the only dudes we should look at are shooters.

Dre, Boban
Harris, Jon, King Henry
Mook, SJ
KCP
RJ, Ish

We need Hilliard, Benji & Ray to become quality shooters.

We need all our forwards and guards to improve from long range too

It is our biggest issue
