Yeah but if we start Gordon AND Payton, this could be a problem. The court is not stretched at all. Long term, it should be ok, but we need both of those guys to develop their shot more.

Why are you choosing Payton over Gordon?

I'm all for talking about FA PGs... but FA SFs... especially 1 way SFs like Parsons, just wreaks.

There are no PGs in free agency better than Payton outside of Conley.

Even if that were true, then you save our money. This is (hopefully) what Hennigan meant by saying they would be disciplined.

"It's just going to depend on what opportunities are there, who we think we can get," general manager Rob Hennigan said. "We'll have to be aggressive and proactive come July 1, and we will be. But a lot of it's going to come down to opportunities that we see. Like I said all along, we're going to be really aggressive, but we're also going to be disciplined in how we attack free agency."

Anything that the Magic do that decreases AG's playing time is a bad move
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Bradley Beal? Gross. He can't stay healthy. I'd take Dipo over Beal, and the Magic just choose Fournier over Dipo. So I think they would take Fournier over Beal as well.

Well we choose Fournier over Dipo b/c Dipo could be used in a trade that made a lot of sense for us, can not add Fournier into trade instead of Dipo and still get Ibaka. We Picked Fournier over Dipo Because we thought they were similar enough in value to keep Fournier instead of Dipo then take the bonus of the trade value we can get off Dipo.
So not sure if we really choose Fournier over Dipo, i bet if Fournier and Dipo had the same 1 yr contract and we could have traded either+11th Pick for Ibaka we would have trade Fournier.
So the comparision is Just Fournier vs Beal. Beal is the Superior Player and to be honest i prefer him to Dipo also but i really do hate injury prone players so i would prefer us to go the safe route of Fournier.

* i do not really want us to offer a max contract to a center like Whiteside or Horford, i am fine with Vuc going forward and when he comes out of the game i like the idea of going small and putting Ibaka at center.
But if we are going to go after a Horford,Whiteside,Conley they can not Look at our team as constructed and pick it over the vast amount of other teams that can offer max, almost the only way we can get these guys is if 2 want to play together.

Also Mark my Words Good contracts are going to be very hard to find, AN most likely is not going to get overpaid and he can score and be a very successful role player on a lot of teams. That is the contract i hope we do not mess up.
