What do you guys think of the cavs picking him up? Do you think he will get any minutes?

Insurance in the event Matthew Dellavedova gets an offer that is beyond a mid-tier backup PG salary slot or Mo Williams salary is included in a deal for a wing/backup center.

It wouldn't surprise me to see him spend a year in Canton like Sir'Dominic Pointer last year grooming himself into the Mo Williams role.

Personally, I think he's not only going to make the team, I think he's going to make a difference as a rookie... not unlike the rook Norris Cole did against Boston in the playoffs in 2011. But I think Felder is much better than Cole.

Felder seems to have been handpicked by LeBron and Co. via Brandon Weems (Cavs assistant, LeBron's great friend from St. V. and Felder's former coach). The franchise even spent 2+ million dollars just to select him. So I'm assuming that Cavs leadership (this includes LeBron) has A LOT of confidence in the value of Kahlil Felder.

And when I watch his highlights I can't help but say, "I think they're right."

His game translates to the next level, I can't wait to see him play.
I wanna see him get minutes in the regular season and not garbage minutes.

I'm disappointed they didn't get a two way player. G.S. paid about the same amount, to buy an earlier pick, and got a much better prospect.

I do expect he'll make the team though. I think we'll have a couple of roster spots we need to fill on the cheap. Looking forward to summer league because I think SirDom has a chance at one too.

Felder is definitely a fun player to watch. Would have to think his role is instant offense when the other guys out there can't get their own.

This guy will be a good player.
I'm extremely impressed but the coaching of this SL team is so so bad.
it's like a pickup game one on one, who is coaching this team? seriously? and also Mcrae is a damn ballhog.

Didn't catch the game but saw McRae with 20+ pts on 3 made baskets with 16/17 free throws [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND TIGHTLY-CLOSED EYES]

Lol.. he is Isoing whenever he gets the ball and attacks the rim so since he is "Fragile" it looks like he gets hit nonstop on his drives.

Handy is coaching the SL team. I think offensively, they're okay, but defensively they're pretty bad and they actually have some decent players. They are poor in the front court and it's making them look worse than they actually are.

I think Felder and McRae are the only decent players...seems like the teams we've played thus far just have more better young talent - which they should.

I'm stoked about Felder though...hope he gets minutes this year, because I think with actual NBA caliber players around him he will look good.

They are really small in the front court, it's like the Cavs didn't scout the players in College why couldn't they choose some better players ? I love watching the SL and watching this team play is a bit annoying for me

Most of the players not drafted are looking for weak or unsettled rosters, and the Cavs are pretty well set. Tough to latch on undrafted with the Championship team. Damn, it feels good to finally be able to say that.

I feel like he is gonna be pretty hard to stop with proper PnR role player and a good screen.
HE sees the floor well too and it looks like tonight he probably was told by the coaching staff to shoot more and play his game cause he was stroking it from the get go.
Still needs to get used to the nba 3pt line it seems.

You guys got a player. I'm a huge fan of his since watching him tear apart Michigan State's defense last year. Every time I watch him play well in the NBA will be like a twist of the knife. He was there for the Pistons' taking in the late 2nd round and we passed him up! I shouldn't be this disgruntled about a 2nd round pick but it just seems so obvious Felder has what it takes to succeed.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

I think us passing on Felder was a mistake, I see him becoming a legitimate rotation player for you guys at some point.

every team is going to be kicking themselves for passing on him. He's Isaiah Thomas 2.0. He's an upgrade over Delly and damnit why didn't Danny Ainge draft him instead of all those scrubs he took after Jaylen Brown. He really is among the worst G.M. on draft day. Ughh

Meanwhile the rich get richer with McRae and Felder along with other veteran acquisitions. Your team is even better than last season and should be favorites to win it all. I'm not buying the Warriors hype though they should be in finals too
