Will you keep it realistic to Toronto's game-plan and have a consistent vision for the Raptors? I just don't want a loose cannon throwing out crazy trades and free agent offers ruining the process.

I don't want to see crazy trades where you're sending off Kyle Lowry, etc. Toronto is a team building gradually around their foundation, not making a complete overhaul.

I'd like to do the Bulls if no one more established on this board wants to do it. Very familiar with their cap space and the potential scenarios out there

Well crazy free agent offers this offseason probably IS pretty realistic.

If your free agent offer doesnt' make me throw up a bit, it's probably unrealistic.

One question how will RFA be handled?

I'm going to address all of the rules when I get all of the GM's filled, but RFA's will either accept offers from their current teams and there's nothing else needing to be done or by the day's close out, they will accept an offer from another team. If they accept another teams offer, the original team has until the following day's close out to match it.

Big money is one thing. The Nets offering max deals to Durant and Lebron is another thing. I think what he's looking for is for posters to really try and act like they think their team will act. Not some fantasy scenario, but as realistic as possible with each team's serious goals in mind.

For instance as the Mavs GM I feel an obligation to run the ball out on Conley/Whiteside even tho I personally feel like they are wasting time on this and they will watch some players who might have signed with them fall off the market. But I think the idea here is to have as realistic a simulation as we can have.

So I hope everyone who participates takes this very seriously and thinks about their team's short and long-term goals rather than "winning" free agents that might not make sense.

I'll take my (lack) of talents to South Beach if still available and be this board's Pat Riley.

For Miami I would like to get feelers from the market on Goran Dragic and Josh McRoberts.

Shouldnt he be a priority free agent to resign or is Dallas going to focus on Conley/Whiteside then try and resign Dirk

It hasn't started yet, I will post rules and cap space with other information as soon as possible once the last 6 spots are filled.

Might have to lower your standards a bit for the last few.

That's not even a question for Dallas. Dirk could get a Kobe-contract and few Dallas fans would complain. Growing up in Mckinney (trash town outside of Dallas) going to Mavs games wasn't a thing you wanted to do as a kid, which is really sad. I'm not old enough to tell stories of how mediocre we were in the 80's, but the 90's weren't pretty. Think the stat is getting out of the 1st round of the playoffs three times in franchise history prior to Dirk.

It's not like Kobe or like Wade for their fans. The Mavs were historically bad until Dirk. He is the organization.

Most Mavs fans expect Dirk to play out exactly like last season but even more so, with Dirk letting Dallas spend as much as they can in FA and taking a discount. In the unlikely event that Dallas manages to spend every penny on building a real team, some think he'd play for the room exception. Was a (sketch) report a while ago that he could play for even less than that and get it paid back to him the following season.

I don't know if you actually expected a response, but there it is. Very few Mav fans would
complain about giving Dirk a fair two year big money deal if he wanted that, but it really isn't about money for him from what he has shown in past and said. He just wants to play two (ish) more years and compete. The only way, we feel, Dirk considers leaving is if Cuban tells him Dallas is going to tank. Which is beyond unlikely.

--

And for the OP -

And I'll do Cleveland? I don't plan on trading any of the big three or TT though so it won't be fun for the thread or Gilbert's bank, but I will make some roster changes to make it somewhat interesting.

Sorry, don't think I would be comfortable knowing direction and needs for any of these squads.
