It hasn't started yet, I will post rules and cap space with other information as soon as possible once the last 6 spots are filled.

Have you posted on those forums?

What about him?

Shouldnt he be a priority free agent to resign or is Dallas going to focus on Conley/Whiteside then try and resign Dirk

That's not even a question for Dallas. Dirk could get a Kobe-contract and few Dallas fans would complain. Growing up in Mckinney (trash town outside of Dallas) going to Mavs games wasn't a thing you wanted to do as a kid, which is really sad. I'm not old enough to tell stories of how mediocre we were in the 80's, but the 90's weren't pretty. Think the stat is getting out of the 1st round of the playoffs three times in franchise history prior to Dirk.

It's not like Kobe or like Wade for their fans. The Mavs were historically bad until Dirk. He is the organization.

Most Mavs fans expect Dirk to play out exactly like last season but even more so, with Dirk letting Dallas spend as much as they can in FA and taking a discount. In the unlikely event that Dallas manages to spend every penny on building a real team, some think he'd play for the room exception. Was a (sketch) report a while ago that he could play for even less than that and get it paid back to him the following season.

I don't know if you actually expected a response, but there it is. Very few Mav fans would
complain about giving Dirk a fair two year big money deal if he wanted that, but it really isn't about money for him from what he has shown in past and said. He just wants to play two (ish) more years and compete. The only way, we feel, Dirk considers leaving is if Cuban tells him Dallas is going to tank. Which is beyond unlikely.

--

And for the OP -

And I'll do Cleveland? I don't plan on trading any of the big three or TT though so it won't be fun for the thread or Gilbert's bank, but I will make some roster changes to make it somewhat interesting.

Nice response I am a big Dirk fan have been ever since he was drafted and I see him staying with Dallas. My only issue with him staying with Dallas is even if you get Whiteside/Conley is Dallas good enough with them and Dirk to get past GSW or SAS. I understand though why he is staying because of loyalty and he does it right with the whole lets sign people then i will resign he sacrifices money to help the team.

OK, I just posted in the Orlando offseason thread regarding this as it seems pretty active and then PM'd an Atlanta fan who wanted to join a mock draft competition we had in the Suns forum. I'll look at the others. I know the Spurs is probably a ghost town though.

Edit: And I just got a response back from a completely different person I didn't PM saying he'd do it. Not even sure which team he means. I guess maybe the Atlanta fan forwarded my PM to someone else...or mentioned it to someone else.

Actually it's probably related to my Orlando post.

No, not even close but it would be a series.. But, just like he is sacrificing money to stay with the he built.. We are holding back our rebuild for the player that built us.

It will be a mutually goal-destructive and disappointing two seasons. Cheers. We will have a good product and win some games though.

And for the record, I would have rather brought back D-Will (or found someone equally awful) and Parsons than target Conley. I understand Conley has a greater impact next season, but Parsons off court benefits might actually help Dallas bump from 8th seed to 4th seed next offseason. Most homer-optimistic stance I had on the Mavs is Parsons ability to attract his friends.

Wizards have somewhat set starters and decent space even with Beal's cap hold. I might take them.

OK, I think I have someone for Orlando. The Atlanta fan I was thinking of is already doing GMAT and says he doesn't think he has enough time.

I would like to request to do Orlando.
Thanks very much
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Well, I PM'd the most recent posters on the Houston and Cleveland forums but those are mostly dead so it will probably be difficult to find fans of those teams to participate. I also PM'd a different Atlanta fan who has done games before.

If Bondom feels like taking the Thunder I can pick up Cleveland or Atlanta.

Let me see if those others respond as well. San Antonio might ultimately be the toughest. I can contact Mr. E, a Houston moderator as well and he might do it.

Keep in mind, HW is taking the 30th team so San Antonio is his if we get Houston and Atlanta.

I know, but best to work on looking for someone for all three and get to that last spot as soon as we can.

Not sure how sportscrazy got quoted there, but dbrandon said he'd take Cleveland or Atlanta if you took OKC.
