I was surprised by the source. This is coming off of some negative reporting by the Herald.

Pretty much meaningless. GMs get cranked out all of the time about offers and it doesn't mean anything. Supposedly Morey asked for Bradley and Crowder for Howard before the deadline, which is ridiculous. Ainge was irked that Memphis tried to land Ray Allen for OJ Mayo and a late first. And he still makes trades with them every single year.

Besides, the front office in Chicago has made almost zero trades, what do they have to compare it to?

Yeah, i don't see the big deal. You should try and win every trade you make by as wide of a margin as possible.

Edit: In that picture Ainge looks like he knows he just got somebody fired lol

If you're starting every trade discussion so far outside of ZOPA that people stop taking you seriously, it's a problem. Particularly when you're the one who wants a trade. Based on what's coming out, Celtics trade discussions sound an awful lot like threads where the moderators have to get involved and remind people that ridiculous offers and counters aren't constructive.

For what it's worth, he's liked here in OKC by his teammates, particularly KD. Waiters/Durant/Westbrook/Morrow are really tight.

Yeah I've heard that. Much better environment with strong leadership in okc though.

Waiters played pretty good against warriors from what I saw and is in good shape but was crap all season from what i read.

No that is simply your way of interpreting it.

Multiple people were saying the whole front office was on the phone for 4 days straight before and through the draft, and I'm going out on a limb and saying it wasn't four days straight of people angrily cussing and swearing at each other.

We can create this story but in the end they will go on making a bunch of trades with a bunch of different teams just like always.

"We" aren't creating anything. This has been reported for a while by national media outlets and now Boston media sources are starting report it.

Do Sixers fans want to borrow the "Coming Home" soundtrack?

Waiters to Philly has been rumored as something wanted to Waiters and never reciprocated by Philly in the past. At least a couple of times. Now Colangelo might be different and actually want Waiters, it is definitely possible. But my gut instinct is that this is Philly being used against Sac to drive up the price on Waiters. I put it at less than 1 in 3 he signs in Philly (whether matched or not).

Hey - I'm like the "Others" from Lost. I never left Waiters Island.

Magic are relatively tight lipped, but in the press conference about the trade at the Draft, Hennigan's quote was:

"We have said since April that Evan is someone we want here. We view him as a big part of the organization."

When pressed on matching, he basically repeated himself. Translating Henningan, this is essentially him saying they are matching any offer.

Nope. I can promise you all something, I won't lie about what I'm hearing. For what it is worth, I did not hear this through Philadelphia, but through another that is close to Barnes whole situation.

Also, don't think teams, players and agents aren't already starting to talk. Not openly, but they are. :)
