I'm thinking that if Harrison doesn't look fantastic this summer, I would waive him (2nd year of his deal is unguaranteed) and give another young player a chance instead.

The final summer league roster was just announced.

http://www.nba.com/hornets/hornets-announce-2016-orlando-pro-summer-league-roster

Gabe York/Brandon Paul/Ramon Galloway
Aaron Harrison/Tim Quarterman/Wayne Blackshear
John Brown/Deshaun Thomas/Sam Thompson
James Kelly/Goodluck Okonoboh
Mike Tobey/Joseph Uchebo

I imagine with Frank out we're trying to find one more big to play. There's also some decent talent on this squad, especially at the wing and forward spots. At one point in time both Thomas and Blackshear were seen as first round picks.

This is exactly my thought. Doesn't seem worth it unless there is some rookie to really root for.

I was kinda curious if Richardson was gonna be on our team given he's not likely to be a King until the 7th.

The internet tells me he is planning on playing for the Kings SL team. Their first game is 7/8.

Ah yeah, that makes sense. Always forget there are multiple leagues.

I'll enjoy watching the Hawks SL team with Bembry and Prince on it.

Same with Bucks SL team with Maker and Brogdon.

Heck, the Bulls team with Valentine and Portis will be entertaining as well.

Just not our SL team.

Top to bottom this is the best summer league team we have put together... Now it doesn't have an elite guy but I think it will be interesting to see who shines.

Everybody brings a nice aspect to the team and I would be surprised if we don't have another Aaron Harrison type contract handed out from this group.

I think the way the rotation shakes out is

Aaron Harrison-Tim Quarterman- Ramon Galloway
Brandon Paul- Gabe York- Wayne Blackshear
Sam Thompson-Deshaun Thomas
James Kelly- John Brown
Goodluck Okonoboh- Joseph Ochebu- Mike Tobey

Okonoboh is interesting as a developmental shot blocker.
Gabe York is a knock down shooter, who needs to develop into a serviceable pg as he does not have size to play 2.
Brandon Paul was really good scorer at Illinois and has had success overseas.
Galloway has done well in summer league in past.
Blackshear couldn't stay healthy, but was once a top ranked recruit and considered a future first rounder.
Harrison needs to prove he is the best Guard on the roster.
Quarterman would be another interesting guy for Greensboro.
Thompson and Thomas are both pretty flawed prospects.
Have a feeling one of Kelly or Brown are going to impress.
Ochebu played at UNCC and set the conference record for rebounds in a year.

Quarterman, Brown, York, Paul, and Okonoboh are all guys Im excited to watch.

I look forward to seeing how Harrison has progressed.

I fully expect him to be overshadowed by several other players who will also proceed to never see an NBA roster again in their careers.

thoughts on the players

Gabe York- really good shooter, but is small and not athletic. i would definitly want him on the D-League team
Brandon Paul- would be more interested if he was related to Chris Paul, didn't do that well in spain. not interested for D-League
Ramon Galloway- excellent shooter and a combo guard. put him on the d-league team
Tim Quarterman- great size for a PG and he was a draftable player this year. want for d-league team
Aaron Harrison- was draftable last year and he was on the team for the season. put him on the d-league team
Wayne Blackshear- gets hurt a lot and isn't very good. not interested
Sam Thompson- cant shoot and cant play PF. nope
Deshaun Thomas- did well in the d-league last season. put him on the team
James Kelly- 6-5 and 240 pounds. averaged a double double. put him on the team
John Brown-did well in college. put him on the team
Goodluck Okonoboh- he shoots FT's at 33%. nope
Joseph Ochebu- did well in college. put him on the team
Mike Tobey-played for a big program, but didn't do much. nah.

we need some real bigs, the only "PFs" we have on the team are tweener sticks.

Really glad we snagged big Joe for our roster. I'd love to keep him around on the team as an emergency end of the bench big.
