Vogel will bring pace and space to the Magic in 2016-17

Post#1 » by Orlwillbeback » Wed Jun 29, 2016 3:12 am

going by his comments when he was hired and also the fact that he is the highest paid executive we currently have, Vogel is casting tremendous influence over our decisions at this time. When he was hired he specifically talked about "playing the way these other teams are playing nowadays". Obviously the 90's offenses we've been running for the last few years arent cutting it and Vogel is going to instill pace and space in Orlando!

The midrange jumper shooting, non rim defending Vooch obviously does not fit into this concept, which is why the acquisition of Ibaka makes so much more sense now. Ibaka is literally the perfect player to play center for this team because not only is he a good defender, he can also shoot from deep, which will make up for the fact that Payton is not good enough in that area yet. This gives us a minimum of four shooters on the floor at once which is what the warriors and Cavs play like.

Gordon is a vital piece to this next year as he will play the role of Draymond Green or a playmaking four. I predict a breakout campaign from Gordon next year.

I predict Payton will also have a breakout year and acerage a career high in assists.

we already have the two and three spot down , retaining Fournier is a no brainer in this regard as he will start at the two and we can start Mario.

We may not believe Mario is totally ready yet which is why i think we will offer the max to Parsons.

Chad Forcier will be a tremendous help in implementing an offensive scheme to make us more efficient. Just remember, he was around the 2014 Spurs and that beautiful brand of ball that knocked Miami in the teeth for 5 games.

Did Vogel forget Oladipo is no longer on the team? He named him when he was talking about the team. I guess it's possible the podcast is from before the draft, just found it strange that it was updated yesterday.
