Knicks day one:
1.)We renounce every cap hold opening up an additional $23,491,245 in cap space. (not including the QO's of Galloway and Early)
2.)So we have Phil and Melo (and Rose if needed) get on the phone and set up meetings for KD, D12, Noah, and Horford. (Signing priority in that order.) We sell them on two stars and a young player with ridiculous potential. As well as the ability to create an amazing legacy for themselves in one of the biggest markets in the league and to be viewed as a hero in it. KD and D12 have both been noted to be intrigued so Phil's magic may work. We offer Howard and Durant max contracts starting at $26.6 mil annually for KD and $31 mil annually for D12. 4 years with a PO for the last one.
3.)We offer a 2 year $2.5 mil annually contract (we should have roughly 5 mil open after either signing) to each of Josh Smith and Ty Lawson (It's the Knicks side of the transactions) with a player option the second year. We sell each of them on a chance of getting back into the limelight on one of the biggest stages in the NBA but we attempt to persuade them to wait until we see what KD and D12 do.
4.)Lastly, the stars and Lawson and Smith should take up most of the cap, so we approach Et'waun Moore and should he decline, DJ Augustin with the BAE selling them on a possible starting role should Rose get injured and Lawson fail but don't make the offer completely official yet.
5.)We start talks with Thomas Robinson, Cole Aldrich, Wesley Johnson, Lance Thomas, Alan Anderson, and Xavier Henry for vet min deals for 3 years (I.e. a Robert Covington deal) also selling them on Phil Jackson, the possibility to boost their value and name, and a guaranteed pay check for 3 years.

You don't have the cap space for Durant and Dwight, you need to prioritize which one you pursue in case one makes their decision before the other. If it's Dwight, then you don't have the remaining cap space for Lawson and Smith's offer.

You also don't have a BAE, did you mean the cap MLE? Or you holding off on bringing Guillermo Hernangomez over?

We pride ourselves on our culture of humility, accountability, and willingness to do whatever it takes to be successful. We have been lucky enough to have two consummate leaders for our franchise for the better part of two decades in Coach Poppovich and Tim Duncan. Tim has unfortunately finally succumbed to the power of Father Time, and called it a career, but is leaving the team in the infinitely capable hands of the Spurs' next wave of leaders. He told me himself that he believes you would fit perfectly here, and that he will be contacting you to give you firsthand knowledge of the type of organization you'd be joining.

Having won NBA championships in each of the last three decades, the tradition of excellence here in San Antonio is second to none. We have every intention of continuing that success with you leading the way. We believe that you are the type of humble, hard-working superstar that will represent our community perfectly, and fit right in with Coach Pop and our deep, talented roster.

On the court, I'm sure i don't have to tell you what kind of havoc a lineup consisting of yourself, Kawhi Leonard, and LaMarcus Aldridge would wreak upon the league. The roster sports champions, All Stars, and future Hall of Famers, with all of them buying into the goals and culture that Coach Pop instills. There is nobody here, no matter how decorated, that will grumble over a lack of shots..or that will resent the national recognition of a teammate. They are simply here to win.

We will of course be offering a maximum, 4 year contract for you to join our family. We will have to maneuver a few pieces to create the necessary cap space..but with your commitment to sign, this is something we can address quickly and effectively. I thank you for your time and consideration."

Durant wonders how you would create the cap space for his $26.6 Million MAX and wants to see what would be remaining on the roster as a result.

Mr. Durant, after meeting with fellow all NBA players Steph, Draymond, and Klay, we would invite you to join the Warriors family with a max deal offer. You have admired how we play and believe it would be a seamless transition under the coaching of coach of the year Kerr. We combine a popular fun fast paced offense where we share the ball and create for others with a tough championship defense under your favorite defensive guru Adams.

We would like you to help us recapture the Championship. Our core which just is entering it's prime improved on a 67 win championship season but suffered a finals setback. A parnership with you can make a record setting squad legendary by adding championships which have eluded you in Oklahoma these past 5 years.

We understand it must be unsettling with the changes that have begun in Oklahoma and pending free agency of the entire starting lineup. Young stars Green and Thompson recently signed significantly discounted long term deals. Veteran stalwarts Bogut and Iggy have given discounts to join GS as well.

As for future.

Kevin you can make a basketball decision because you seamlesy fit with the GS core as championship squad becomes legendary.

Edit - we all know Doc Rivers wants to bring back Jared Sullinger. He can't help it with two point shooting big men.

What if anything could OKC give for Sully? Not much to offer but curious.

Don't need much but the outgoing salary on the other side would have to go somewhere else.

If someone else wants Waiters or Foye that could work. Are they staying or going for you? If someone wants to take one of those guys or something else as outgoing salary I would do either of Sullinger or Zeller outgoing for a second rounder.

Otherwise they probably get renounced or just allowed to walk on an offer sheet.

Edit - At any rate, once Zeller and Sullinger's cap holds are removed, their salary cap space will be used to make a 2 year, $24M contract offer to Jared Dudley to finally bring him back to Boston. He'd enjoy a similar role in Boston as last year, with ~20-25 minutes per night as a combo forward. The second year would be a team option.

The salary could be negotiated upwards somewhat to exceed other offers if necessary.
As long as Jared Dudley is willing to wait, until Wizards are done playing with their cap space, $30m over 2 years, second season TO or partially guaranteed for, say, $3m is there for him.

we were sad not to hear our name on the list of teams, Kevin Durant will look at this off-season, so we respect that and won't bother him. That said, we firmly believe, that Kevin is going after 1+1 contract wherever he goes, so we hope to improve next season and become more attractive destination for offseason 2017.

Wizards renounce Nene.

Wizards waive Drew Gooden

Wizards would like to start talks with Brad Beal for a Max contract, 5 years, but we want to be a bit creative with raises, lowering by 7.5% to maximize our space for 2017 FA class, then 7.5% up every year after, so it's $111.24m over 5 years ($21.6m x 5.15).We see Bradley as a key player going forward, and are willing to put 15% trade kicker on that contract to confirm our commitment.

Wizards ask Jared Dudley, what amount of money on 1-year contract would be equal to $18m over 3 years, he was just offered by Nets?

Wizards ask Ramon Sessions what amount of money on 1-year contract is he looking for? Wizards see Ramon as a key bench player, who can see a reasonable amount of time next to Wall.

Wizards ask Garrett Temple what amount of money on 1-year contract is he looking for? Wizards see Garrett as a valuable bench player.

Wizards ask Alan Anderson what amount of money on 1-year contract is he looking for? Wizards see Alan as a valuable bench player.

Wizards are looking to gauge league-wide trade interest in our starting center Marcin Gortat. While he's 32 y.o. already, he's "younger" in terms of minutes played, so it's reasonable to expect a couple more solid years from him. Gortat is signed for 3 more years at $12m, $12.8m and $13.6, which is quite good for a starting center in new financial reality.

Wizards are surprised, that Pelicans are content with their bad collection of centers and propose Gortat for Ajinca exchange. Marcin would be a starting center for a couple of years, until Unibrow ready to move there full-time, and become an expring contract, when cap no longer jumps, so expirings get back to being valuable.

Wizards would like to know, what kind of contract Bismack Biyombo is looking for? We feel, that 1+1 MLE from Raptors is kind of insulting, and doesn't show commitment as without capspace Raptors would still be able to offer only 175% of MLE next summer as a starting salary. We are looking to lock BB up on a multiple year contract, making him team's starting center for years to come.

Wizards would like to know, what kind of contract Darrell Arthur is looking for? We hope, Arthur's agent understand, that, he's not a top priority and exercises a bit of patience. Wizards look at Arthur as a valuable bench player.

Jared Dudley will just take the highest long-term money offer he gets.

Arthur, Sessions, Temple and Anderson would like to see your offer before giving you theirs.

Biyombo wants to get paid, he wants to start and he wants long-term commitment. The team that offers the best mix of those things, he will sign with.

I think I have the space without it. I've renounced all other cap holds, including old ones from prior seasons, Evan Turner, and the two international picks.

$34M of guaranteed salary plus Amir/Jerebko at $17 plus about $12M for Zeller/Sullinger's hold I believe. Plus $4M for Jaylen Brown is $67M for 13 roster spots, leaving $27M remaining. That's my math, could be off though.

Early Update: 7:45 AM ET 06/29/2016:
1. Kevin Durant has announced he will make his decision at the end of Day 2. Of the teams that have made offers, he is only considering the Thunder, Spurs and Warriors. He is waiting to see if Miami and the Clippers pursue him and if they do, their sales pitches.

2. Hassan Whiteside is expected to make his decision at the end of Day 1 and is currently legitimately torn between the Lakers and Trail Blazers.

3. Bradley Beal has been offered his MAX by the Nets and Wizards, he is torn on who to choose as well. If he does choose Brooklyn, though, Washington obviously will just match since they offered the same amount of money. He is going to wait to see if any incentive is offered to Washington by Brooklyn.

4. Evan Turner is willing to accept the Lakers offer at the end of Day 1, but is waiting to see how things play out throughout the day.

5. Sergio Rodriguez and Rajon Rondo both are willing to accept the Nets offer at the end of Day 1, but want to see how the day plays out.

6. Al Horford is expected to make his decision tonight with the only offer coming from Houston so far.

7. Pau Gasol has an extreme interest in the Celtics offer and is expected to accept at the end of Day 1.

8. Free Agents have interest in the Knicks, but are waiting for details of their offers to be sorted out.

9. DeMar DeRozan is expected to sign with Toronto at the end of Day 1, but Bismack Biyombo is holding out for more money.

10. Mike Conley is leaning towards Chicago at the moment, but if Memphis would make him the full MAX offer the Bulls did with the added fifth year, it would be tough for him to turn down.

11. Harrison Barnes, Seth Curry and Allen Crabbe are all leaning towards signing with Philly and seeing if those offers get matched. Barnes is expected to hold out for other teams offers first.

Philly is also offering the following trades:

Philly offers Richaun Holmes and Philly’s 2018 2nd to BUCKS Vaughn

Philly offers Okafor and Saric to BULLS for Butler

Philly offers Korkmaz and Grant to ROCKETS for Beverley

Philly offers Landry and Thompson to MAVS for Justin Anderson

Available for trade - every big man except Embiid and Simmons.

FREE AGENTS:

Harrison Barnes:

Philly would like to offer Harrison Barnes a 4 yr contract starting at 17 million with a player option on the last year. We are offering Harrison a chance to become a focal point of our offense. In Golden State, he is more of a 5/6 guy but we want to highlight him as the complete player that we know he is. That's why we put him on the Olympic team - so the rest of the world (including advertisers) know his real value.

Allen Crabbe:

Allen, have you heard from Portland? Or are you on their backburner while they make other guys like Whiteside their priority? In Portland, you are blocked by Dame and CJ but we both know you are a starter. We want to give you that opportunity and let you truly grow as a player. But if you want that chance, we have to act quickly. If Portland is able to use their open cap space first, they will match our offer and keep you on the bench forever.

4 year contract starting at 15 million with 5% raises per year.

Seth Curry:

Philly would like to offer Seth Curry a 3 yr/20 million dollar contract. We think he has been overlooked in Sacramento where the shadow of his brother looms large. He would be a perfect fit in a Simmons based offense where he can excel as the secondary ball handler while taking advantage of the open 3 looks he will get as an outlet for teams crashing the Sixers bigs down low.

Right now, we are able to offer him a starting PG role to give him the opportunity to really show his abilities. In either case, he will receive significant minutes on the Sixers, including playing some 2 guard as we see him as a multi-dimensional shooter that will fit in the many different lineup constructions we plan to run out there.

This contract will also allow him to hit the market again as an unrestricted free agent at age 28. Just think about what playing for the Sixers did for the stats of Ish Smith and MCW - now think about how Seth can take advantage of that before his next contract.

I'm willing to listen but I can't see what realistic assets GSW has that would be worth Okafor. What did you have in mind?

Cool thx for quick response. Maybe for Saric or Noel then like Covington. Maybe for a large TPE .

Sorry but I'm confused - are you suggesting Saric or Noel and Covington for Barnes because that is a hard no for us. If you just want a TPE, we can definitely give you that.

The Bucks are curious if Marvin Williams and/or Courtney Lee want to provide them with a counter offer?

Bucks counter with Vaughn straight up for Luwawu.

Kings GM here. Looking at marching Seth Curry deal to Philly. Also want to tender Ryan Anderson a four year 65million dollar contract with a team option on the final year starting at 16 million.

Does Sacramento have room for that? I believe Curry salary has to come out of space.

Also, make sure to save room for Waiters :D

Bucks are also going to make a sales pitch to Langston Galloway. Kidd - "We would love for you to compete for our starting guard spot next to Giannis and Khris. Management and I feel you can provide our roster with another capable shooter who can defend the perimeter in our switching defensive scheme. As a former player, I can see you have the talent to compete in the league but just need consistent playing time to reach your full potential. You will be given every opportunity to earn this playing time in Milwaukee and I would personally be looking to mentor you in regards to your passing and court vision over the next few years. Our offer is 3yrs/$15MM with an escalating salary ($4MM, $5MM, $6MM). What do you say Langston, do you what to join my team?"
