At least the people on reddit used photographic evidence. Photoshopped you think? Excellent job if that's the case, but then you have to ask the question why would there be several people doing this? What do they stand to gain? In 3 months time nobody is going to remember who originally posted these pics, so it's not for the fame. Or do they all have a twisted vendetta against him so they thought they'd shame him on the internet right at this moment?

Its not that easy..this was just a perfect storm because of where he came from. If a US citizen tried to double up on HS as a prospect it would be alot easier to discover so i dont think this serves as any kind of new loop hole for future players.

Well that's kinda the point. He's not a good player.

The entire reason you draft a project is that you see his raw size/athleticism and you hope his skills develop.

Well if he's already 23 there's really no point. He's unlikely to ever justify being drafted, let alone a lottery pick.

Have you seen him play in a game recently? I haven't. I doubt most people in this thread have either.

He's got physical tools. Maybe he becomes a good shot blocker. He's a #10 pick, it's not like they took him first overall. Patrick O'Bryant went #10 and was out of the league soon after. If Maker can develop an NBA skill or two and stick on their roster, Milwaukee could've done a lot worse with this pick.

Not trying to justify taking him in the lottery, it was a reach even if he was 19 years old. Just saying it's a bit early to be assuming the worst case scenario.

From a purely hypothetical stand point, I wonder what the NBA would do for Mil if they did find evidence of tampering with regards to his age.

The can't give them the draft pick back, and I don't think they can give them a compensatory pick equivalent to the #10 pick next season. Seems like Mil's two options would be to either choose to keep Maker, or have the ability to release him.
