I guess you'd have to figure out what they might give up. Looking for 3&D wing. I wouldn't mind Casspi as part of a deal, but would want more than that.

Whats your price tag on Tyler ulis?

My guess is much of it is motivation. He had a very good year in Dallas in 2015. I think he had expectations that the Suns were serious about competing--and I believe they were serious when they signed him. But then LMA didn't sign, Morris acted like a baby until he was dealt, the guards got hurt, and then they had him playing with Len and were clearly tanking to improve their draft stock.

I think if he was on a team like OKC, he'd be really productive for 20-25 mpg and a great guy in the room.

That said, I should be telling you he sucks because if Whiteside passes on Dallas, we'd still be interested in giving you cap space/TPE for him. :D

Bullock for Goodwin could be a good deal for us both. Phoenix gets a 3 and D wing like you want and Detroit gets their backup PG who can play next to Jackson sometimes at SG

Bucks are looking for offers for John Henson. He is only 25, under contract for the next 4 years for $44MM ($12,517,606; $11,672,536; $10,827,466; $9,982,396) and is considered an above average rim protector. We are looking for a 3&D PG who can play off the ball, a quality back up F who can split time between the 3 and 4, future picks and shooters.

Edit: This trade would need to be conveyed after July 1st to avoid the Poison Pill Provision.

Theres no way 30 people were gonna stay committed to this.

It's been barely 12 hours since this really started and much of that sleeping time for the States. Plus people have jobs/school/lives. I think its too quick to worry about a couple guys who haven't posted anything just yet.

I don't know Streakers that well, but jayjaysee has been a good poster for a long time. I have no doubts that when he has time he will respond itt.

Agreed, some of us are lucky enough to be able to drop onto this site for a brain break between cat-herding and coding :)

Is Henson more comfortable at PF or a C... what is his natural position?

Definitely C but he is athletic enough to guard players out on the perimeter.

Finally getting to this. Going to somewhat base this on what the Hawks are doing right now.

First order of business is to pick up Mike Muscala's option.

We're waiving the cap holds of Kris Humphries and Kirk Hinrich.

We're also waiving Mike Scott and Lamar Patterson, as well as every exception we have but the MLE/room exception.

We're signing DeAndre Bembry to his 120% rookie scale contract.

We're putting Tiago Splitter on the block. In addition, though I'm not looking to move him, we'll take calls on Paul Millsap. It'd have to be a shocking overpay for me to consider moving him, though.

We need a backup point guard, and we could stand to get a more proven rim protector than Tavares and one more healthy than Splitter.

We call up Kent Bazemore's agent and sit down with him and his client.

Atlanta Hawks wrote:Kent, you've been an integral part of our organization this year. We've been impressed with your toughness, your work ethic and the high-level play you've brought at both ends of the floor, and we want to see you continue to be a part of this organization for a long time to come. To that end, we're prepared to offer you a $16mil contract starting this year for 3 years with a 4th year player option, full raises year over year. We'd like to see you stay as our starting small forward and perhaps step into Kyle's role as he ages. Let us know if you get a better offer—we'd really like to keep you around.

We'd love to get Dudley, but seeing the bidding war that's going on for him we don't think we have a chance. For our bench PF, we go after Darrell Arthur.

Atlanta Hawks wrote:Darrell, you're known around the league as a terrific locker room guy, a great shooter, a smart defender and a team-first guy. You're the perfect Atlanta Hawk. If you come here, you'll be able to play with an organization that has a chance to make a deep playoff run in the East and embodies the same ideals that you do. We're offering a 3-year, $10mil per year with full raises contract.

Yes, we are still planning on keeping Al Horford.

Atlanta Hawks wrote:Al, you've been a part of this organization for a long time, and we love having you around. You embody the ideals that we want from this team in your versatility, your commitment to teamwork, your character, and your play on the floor. We'd like to keep you as the centerpiece of this franchise for a long time to come. To that end, we're offering you a 3-year max contract with full Bird rights raises year over year and a 4th year player option.

after horford he is there with marvin williams as the top free agent PF and maybe the best smallball 4.

Spurs would like to reach out to FA Zaza Pachulia.

"We'd like to let our interest in you joining our franchise be known, as well as gauge your interest in San Antonio. Though we will not have exact numbers until we hear from Kevin Durant, something around Mid-Level Exception money (through cap space or actual MLE) will probably be about as much as we can offer. We are willing to consider a multi-year deal, if it should so interest you. With the retirement of Tim Duncan, and uncertain status of RFA Boban Marjanovic, we would have, at the very least, big minutes to offer as a role with a title contender, with the high likelihood of a starting center job. We wanted to reach out to you now, to show you that you are a priority..just that it's strictly technicalities that would prevent an immediate signature."

Sorry to repeat, but are Pelicans going into next season with Asik and Ajinca at C, or are you considering Davis as logging a lot of minutes there?
Cause Wizards offered to explore Gortat for Ajinca swap.

Washington Wizards would like to remind Lance Thomas' agent, that his client's cap hold was just renounced by Knicks, and vet min was offered, multiple years vet min btw. Having said that, Wizards are looking to offer your client 4-year contract, starting at $6m, 4.5% raises or $25.6m over 4 years with TO for 4th year. You would replace Jared Dudley and take a lot of bench minutes at both forward spots.

Yea sorry that's just too much money to tie up at the center spot.

Renounce Solo Hill. We don't have the ability to offer him a deal he'd accept.

For now I'll keep Ian's cap hold.

We'll also guarantee GRIII and Whittington (which gives us 12 on the roster).

My first call in free agency is to Eric Gordon. I'll be offering him a 1 year deal worth $12 mil with a PO. I'm going to sell him on coming home and being the starting 2 guard. We have Ellis backing him up so we can limit his minutes if need be. He'll also be working with an excellent training staff. And he'll be able to get tons of open looks from Teague and PG. The idea for him here is to rehab his value a bit going into next offseason when there will be even more money and the PO gives him insurance if he isn't able to. Could be bad for us, but I like it as a gamble.

For the first day, that's honestly it as that's most of our cap space. I'd ask Ian to wait until Gordon (or whoever else) is figured out so we can use his smaller cap hold and resign him after.

On the block

Rodney Stuckey - looking for a backup big or cap space, but open to all offers. We will not be paying to dump him though, so don't bother asking.

Spurs would like to inquire about the availability of Lavoy Allen

Depending on how the first day ends. I might be willing to take on Asik instead of Ajinca if you are willing to offer up another smaller asset.

By no means is Allen untouchable, but I'm not sure there's a deal to be had with SA honestly. We would definitely want a player back as we simply can't replace his production for the 3.5 mil he's owed and as it stands right now, we have Turner, Thad, Allen, and two unproven guys in Christmas/Whittington as our bigs. So we kind of need him unless things change.

If we can get a backup big through a Stuckey deal, I'd be open to an Allen for Mills swap, but I'm not sure where that big would come from. We wouldn't have much interest in Diaw and the rest of SA's roster is an overpay for Allen.

Hey anyone think that color coding official FA offers and free agent inquiries would be a good idea?

for example red for offer, green for inquiry

Jared Dudley _____ million over ________ years .... reason for signing.

Pelicans would like to inquire about Luol Deng question about availability or preferred contract structure...

I'm picking up Morrow's option and letting Waiters test RFA.

I'd offer Philly a sign and trade of Waiters for Hollis Thompson at whatever price they'd get Dion for.

I'd offer Phoenix Chandler and Tucker for Kanter.

Renouncing Foye's rights should take the salary cap space to approximately 8 mil over the cap.

I'd also offer the MLE to Darrell Arthur or Trevor Booker if either are available.

Finally I'd inquire with Charlotte if they'd have interest in a sign and trade for Marv.

At this point I have to keep Ersan as it won't clear cap space unless Kanter is gone.

Edit:

Oh and duh, I offer KD a max contract, his choice of the full 5 year or 1 + 1.

Edit: Adding my pitch, though don't know if its needed.

Kevin, we've been home for you for 9 years and greatly appreciate all you've given the city and state of Oklahoma. We feel like we've built a great young team around you and with your best friend in Russ at your side, this team is on the brink of a great future. We just brought in a fantastic young SG who you've been friends with for years and have a great group of hard workers in the locker room who were one of, if not the youngest ever conference finalists. Kevin, the decision is yours, but know OKC will always appreciate all you've given and we'd really hope to have you stay here for life.

Also wanted to add Kanter is available for cap space if anyone wants, and Singler is available too.

I'm offering up an offer to Chicago for Taj Gibson of Huestis/McGary/Ersan if they're going rebuild.

I'd also offer the MLE for Luol Deng.

Finally, I try to extend RFA offers to Adams at 4/68 and Roberson at 4/32.[/quote]
