Charged DUI in 2009.

Yeah I saw that, what a strange case. Not condoning his DUI at all, but man does that father sound like a prick. But yeah, hopefully David is not dumb enough to ever drive under the influence again. It does sound like he did a good job for the T-Wolves though, and obviously his father is a pretty solid coach too, so I'm excited to have him.

I forget which poster, but this surely cements this guy as a scumbag, because.....make a mistake, and you are marked for life and labeled and can never recover from your shame! Or does that only apply to skiles?

Very happy to have a productive assistant coaching group on board!

I've always found that the truth always lies somewhere in the middle. My guess is the father was a prick but David did a dumb thing too. Life isn't all roses and although it looks bad, it may have been a blessing for David to reassess his life. It sounds like he has as he had success with the T-Wolves and was sought after by the Magic. The Magic are high quality people and I'm sure vetted this out. Both Rob and our new coach are no dummies and wouldn't do anything to jeopardize the future of the franchise.

I was being facetious. I am very happy for his hiring!

Lol, half the forum wants to bench AG and Hezonja for Parsons and the other half wants to bench Payton and Vucevic for Conley and Whiteside/Horford.

And you want to trade Elf and Vooch, just cause. Get anything you can for them, you'd probably do it for a bag of potato chips, just to get rid of them. :wavefinger:

Classic revisionist history. Just because I can acknowledge their flaws doesn't mean I would give them away "just cause".

I was tossing their names in trade ideas for Kris Dunn... that's pretty far away from "just cause".

I really like this new coaching staff. Nice balance of defense and offense between Vogel and Forcier/Adelman, and every member of the staff has a background in player development.

It is pretty nice having the entire forum in agreement...we have a great coaching staff going in to next season.

You're probably thinking of me... I don't mind this hiring at all. DUI is obviously something that you don't want to see but it is worlds away from cocaine possession and having more than a handful of baby momma's running around while being the head coach of a young team.

But enough about that. I like this coaching staff. Well done, Rob and Frank!

You've had a few trade ideas, to get rid of both.

Not crap.

But I notice people are funny... Bledsoe/Beal get hurt and they are bad players, but Parsons gets hurt and he is good. Jodie Meeks hurt w/Det = bad player. Jodie Meeks hurt w/ORL = good player. How does that work?

Anyways, I'm not gonna hijack this thread with this discussion, if you want, take it to the spec thread pls.

Podcast interview with Chad. Decent listen. Near the end, says he's going to workout Ibaka. Already helping him develop.

There is no reason AG and Mario can't achieve their potential. We have surrounded with a players Coach and a coaching staff that focuses on development and player relationships. They have all the tools. Rest is up to the players.
