Orlando Magic day 1 activity:
To start I will be declining cap holds on Brandon Jennings, Andrew Nicholson, Jason Smith.

Offers:
We would like to extend a 4 year max offer (approx 4 year 100 mil) to Nicholas Batum.

Pitch:
The magic are an up incoming team that is ready to take the next step in the process of competeing and making the playoffs and being competitive. The proposal for Orlando starts with an excellent players coach in Frank Vogel who is committed to developing great relationships with his players and winning. Also the Orlando market has some great advantages with the no state income tax and the wonderful weather combined with top notch new arena and facilities. This team also expects Batum to come in and fit in with our current foreign players that come from same life experiences. The Orlando starting lineup already consists of 3 French speaking individuals in Fournier,(who we intend to match any offer on) Vuc, and our new acquired talent in Serge Ibaka. The former being primed for an increased role and to be a focal point of our offense and defense.

Trade block:
nikola vucevic Can be had but I do value him highly.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Mavs can offer a 2019 2nd for Snell.

I'll swap James Young for Snell. Could be a future second if need be if that was preferred.

Pretty good start to the off-season for Dallas. Managed to land Bogdanovic and Snell for 2nd rounders. We will need some affordable depth and we really think Rick Carlisle can get something out of Snell.

Sorry I just saw this. Deal is done. I wanted cap space and a 2nd to prepare for my next moves so I took the first offer.

Miami will consider a Harris for McRoberts swap if we can not dump McBob into pure cap space.

Minny maybe interested in mcRoberts. What they looking for ?

Probably the same place as Cleveland. Tried to get a deal done with that guy but he's a no show. No response to PM either.

Our phone hasn't rung.
.
Quoted. But it got choppy for some reason. Would be asking about milsap!!

We're putting Tiago Splitter on the block. In addition, though I'm not looking to move him, we'll take calls on Paul Millsap. It'd have to be a shocking overpay for me to consider moving him, though.

We need a backup point guard, and we could stand to get a more proven rim protector than Tavares and one more healthy than Splitter.

Would u be interested in Dunn and deing for milsap?

The Lakers continue to work the phone lines... so far, we've contacted several tier 2, tier 3 guys that we'd like to join our team. The official offers are for:

Hassan Whiteside - full max, full trade kicker, guaranteed start, touches and minutes.
Evan Turner - 48M/4, fully guaranteed, flat rate 12M per year.
Marvin Williams - 48M/4, fully guaranteed, flat rate 12M per year.
Jordan Clarkson - wait out.

As such, we also work out 2-yr deals w/ Marcelo Huertas and Tarik Black. It will be their Qualifying offers x 2 to complete bird rights. We hope they accept on day 1 as well.

Was your target Snell? Or an open roster spot and a future 2nd? Cleveland is interested with cap and a future 2nd offer, because I don't know why anyone would be interested in Snell..

We aren't looking to salary dump him though. We wouldn't have traded for him if that was the goal. We also don't want future assets for him, if any team would actually even offer them.

If we lost JR Smith, we could look at something around Jodie Meeks and something else. Could we get Baynes if we sent a 2nd? But we hope to retain JR. Maybe that's a check back once we know JR's decision? But Meeks+Baynes for Frye+2nd? If JR leaves something around that.

We aren't going to lie to ourselves and claim Frye can land Morris but we might want to see if we can close the pretty wide gap between the two? And we can't really afford Harris - I know I didn't expect to admit that either.

And we'd like to know if you'd take him for cap space and a 2nd? It would be part of a three team trade if we find such a team, but that is the price that the previous team that traded him got so seems reasonable. (Orlando/Portland part of trade)

Let us get through day 1 then we can go from there

Chicago has somewhat given up on Tony. He has good fundamentals, especially as a 3 and D. His motor is what leaves to be desired. Get ready to pound your head against a wall for so much passiveness / lack of confidence. I'd be (real life) interested to see what a coach like Carlisle can do for him
