For your everyday guy, Australia is a much nicer place to live and work than the US or Canada. The fellow who decided he was going to manipulate his age and cash in on 'raw potential' is the real dog in this scenario. He has a history of doing this as well.
While legal recourse is unlikely, the Bucks should sit down and talk to him and his family so that jerk doesn't see a dime of the Makers' money.
Thon Maker's passport... Which is government endorses and a tier 1 Identification document shows that he is 19...
Thon's agent refers to his passport to stated Thon's age.
Everything else is speculation and made up.
Thon graduating with a 2010 class is misinterpreted and misrepresented...
I'll propose to you several theories that are all plausible given the unique circumstances of Maker's life.
Theory A:
Using the ambiguity of refugee status to manipulate personal information
2001: Maker comes to Australia as a refugee. Documentation is not as stringently checked for refugees as it is for other immigrants
2010: Maker graduates from Year 12. While in year 12 applies for citizenship / passport and using 'up to date' documentation about his age.
2011: Goes to the US as a 14 year old.
Theory B:
Susan Chuot could have been shown in a year 8 or a year 9 page. She herself could have been held back, or started school late because of being a refugee also.
Theory C:
Thon Maker is a prodigy who reached graduation at age 13
etc. etc.
Many scenarios to consider. At the end of the day, the bucks have to live with it, Maker needs to prove himself and it might be beneficial to educate perhaps a naive family about the devious intentions of Mr. Smith.
Don't be a jerk.
