Jason Terry had a big role in Houston. And Houston has kept his non-Bird rights, allowing 190% of last years salary. We cannot formally offer him anything at this time, but do want to note how much we love him and how we view him as important not just in our past, but in our future as well.

Jazz wait patiently while Favors and Hill gather information and weigh their options.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Houston post trade cap math:

Changes:
-- Brewer, Dekker and Goudeluck are gone per trade
-- Josh Smith's min cap hold is renounced

I'm showing a max offer for Horford at $26,561,198.03 starting salary.

Given all of above (and the renouncing of the MLE), Houston has $16,844,846.97 remaining in cap space, or the ability to offer a 2nd contract at $17,388,317.97 (taking away the min roster hold).

Spoiler:
Player 2016-2017 2016-2017
Ariza, Trevor $7,806,971.00 $7,806,971.00 1
Beasley, Michael $1,403,611.00 $1,403,611.00 2
Beverley, Patrick $6,000,000.00 $6,000,000.00 3
Brewer, Corey $7,612,172.00 $0.00
Capela, Clint $1,296,240.00 $1,296,240.00 4
Dekker, Sam $1,720,560.00 $0.00
Goudelock, Andrew $1,015,696.00 $0.00
Harden, James $16,784,032.00 $16,784,032.00 5
Harrell, Montrezl $1,045,000.00 $1,045,000.00 6
McDaniels, K.J. $3,333,333.00 $3,333,333.00 7
Cap holds
Jones, Terrence $6,223,825.00 $6,223,825.00 8
Motiejūnas, Donatas $5,720,512.00 $5,720,512.00 9
Smith, Josh $980,431.00 renounced
Terry, Jason $980,431.00 $980,431.00 10
Min roster hold $543,471.00 11
Total $61,922,814.00 $50,593,955.00
Cap room $32,077,186.00 $43,406,045.00
Horford Offer $26,561,198.03 $26,561,198.03 12
Remaining $5,515,987.97 $16,844,846.97
Max 2nd offer $17,388,317.97 New 12th

Houston offers Deng $35,559,110.24 over 2 years, using the ~17.4m in starting salary. If a third year is need, we are prepared to be flexible.

Houston updates Horford that we envision pairing him with a Deng addition as well.

Talk to me then, but not at the price of a starter on my team.

I am interested in Beverley (would be willing to include MCW but would need something else in return) or a S&T for Motie or Jones.

Bucks also call Plumlee and let him know they are interested in bringing him back but are wanting to sign some additional free agents prior to utilize all of their available cap space and ask for him to put off signing any offer sheets until day 4. Milwaukee informs him their offer will be a competitive 3 year contract.

Out of the Blue, the Lakers offer E'Twaun Moore a contract of 28M over 4 years. 7M flat.

In case someone asks, the Deng offer of 14M still stands, the Clarkson cap hold still stands.

BullyKing, I am inclined to match the Crabbe offer-sheet, unless you are willing to work out a S&T for Noel?

What about Noel for S&T Crabbe & 2018 Cavs 1st round pick.

No thanks. I'm fine paying him market value but not to give up a better player to do so.

You won't have minutes for Embidd, Noel, Simmons, Saric, and Okafor... What else would it take to let go of Noel as part of a sign and trade?

Do Mavs have any assets besides Anderson? Looks like top-55 protected pick would be the way to go, right? Need to comb through available targets then, both FA and trade-wise.

Tyler Johnson is subject to the Arenas provision, meaning his starting salary can not exceed $5.6 million. Miami plans to match all offers but we are open to the idea of a sign and trade.

Miami is offering Josh McRoberts to Minnesota for a TPE and 2nd Rd Pick.

Miami is requesting a meeting with Al Horford and strongly considering offering the full max.

Miami is also requesting meetings with Matt Barnes, Marvin Williams, Festus Ezeli and Harrison Barnes.

I'm open to it but so far teams have not been reasonable in my view in sign and trade discussions. I mean, we're talking about a backup PG here so the amount I'd be willing to offer is reflective of that.

Right, im thinking along the lines of removing the pick swaps owed to you and putting lotto protection on the 2019 pick owed to you. Thats all

"That's all" - I mean, c'mon, we're talking about a backup PG. Just go ahead and match the offer if he accepts.

New Orleans Pelicans offer:

out of left field:
Demar Derozan: A full max contract. Will let all of our FA walk and free up the additional 2 million through trade if he agrees to sign

Ryan Anderson:: A maximally allowable 4 year 80 million front-loaded contract to be signed at the end of FA

Luol Deng: a 3 year 40 million dollar contract

Still looking for offers on Tyreke Evans, Ajinca, and Asik
