Yes, since we don't need Koufos, and you could get Knight, some other team needing a center could get him, and maybe we could get Casspi and/or another 3&D wing from that team.

Not much. Monroe isn't a good fit with Dirk and I view Henson as a backup. I need to find a starter.

cheaper pieces, general depth, maybe a little cap space freed. Only guys who could be fringe starters or prospects that can play bench minutes though. No guys I've never heard of or anything.

Would koufos and/or mclemore interest you?

If im giving up casspi id ask for bledsoe instead of knight and id look for a back up 3 to replace him as well. Thatd be a way for me to give up casspi

Once they sign with another team that cap hold will fall off or you can waive the cap hold, but the cap hold does not give you exclusive negotiating rights. It's simply a tool that allows you to re-sign your own free agents even when you don't have cap space.

I suggest that if you don't have interest in re-signing them or if you plan on using cap space to sign other free agents that you renounce your rights to some or all of your free agents creating cap space for you.

Thanks. I didn't realize you could go over the cap to retain a guy who only played less than half a year with you. But I guess guys who only played one year you can? So there is no need to retain cap holds on guys if you have so much cap space there is no way you would go over the cap, correct?

What's your future pick situation? Interest in Noel?

Noel is definitely a player I would trade a future pick for and Dallas owns all our own 1sts going forward. I'd want top 3 protection on it, but I'd move a 2017 or 2018 first for him of your choosing.

How long are you going to wait to let a guy decide if he only has one offer from a team he wants to stay with? I have an outstanding offer to him that I'm sure he doesn't want us to rescind, but if he can't make up his mind for whatever reason, I will have to look elsewhere even though we are each other's top choice. I guess I am in hold to really do much at all on the FA front until you decide on this.

That line of waiting too long/waiting for something better is considered in the decision making process.

Thats fine. Knight still interests me mildly, i just wont move casspi for him. So maybe we can work around soemthing else? I mean im willing to move mclemore who is a 3 and D wing. Wed have to find a home for koufos. Im sure cleveland would part withbsumpert for him. Wanna look into a mclemore and shumpert for knight deal?

Bucks would like to offer Trevor Booker a 3 year offer starting at the full MLE with 4.5% raises going forward which equates to $17,655,176. The 3rd year would be a TO. We ask he waits to sign this offer until day 5 of free agency or after all other free agent contracts are signed.

Miami is offering Tyler Johnson in a sign and trade and our next available future 1st round pick, unprotected, for Nerlens Noel
