spent 70% of time at sf when we first acquired him. Progressively less since then although you could argue that's because of the sheer number of guard injuries. I'd say 25-35% is probably about the amount of time at sf he should get in a totally ideal world, he's a really good and much better cover for the onball smallforwards than you would think because of his strength and quicks, offball he's horrendous, and many of the leagues small forwards are offball players.

What type of return are you looking for?

Spurs offer to Mirza Teletovic

"Mirza, we're looking to add some scoring to our roster, particularly off the bench. We watched you thrive in that role last season, and we feel like your shooting will help spread the floor tremendously. We have an unselfish team and a heavy emphasis on ball movement, which should allow you to receive a ton of open looks. With the league going smaller, and more importance on shooting, there should be plenty of consistent minutes available to you. We'd like to offer you a 3 year, $30mil contract to join our organization and help us bring another title to San Antonio."

I would consider it, but would like to see if we could move Payne to a 3rd team.

Would you guys have any interest in moving Gorgi Dieng?

Pretty tepid at this point. Leaning towards keeping Wes at this point.

How long are you going to wait to let a guy decide if he only has one offer from a team he wants to stay with? I have an outstanding offer to him that I'm sure he doesn't want us to rescind, but if he can't make up his mind for whatever reason, I will have to look elsewhere even though we are each other's top choice. I guess I am in hold to really do much at all on the FA front until you decide on this.

That line of waiting too long/waiting for something better is considered in the decision making process.

Alright, though that's not terribly realistic.

Pitch to Mirza: We felt since you had expressed you wanted to be here you would be willing to accept our offer, however if you have decided to seek other options and feel that perhaps this might not be the place for you, we can respect you for that, but will need to move on shortly as we didn't feel you would hold our team hostage in free agency not allowing us to pursue other options. Please let us know soon if you are going to accept another offer. Please let us know if you receive another offer as we would like to consider a counter offer.

Instead, Philadelphia would like to offer Jerryd Bayless a 1 year / 7 million contract with a 1 year / 8 million dollar team option. We thought that we offered Seth Curry a wonderful opportunity to come in as a starter and really up his value like MCW and Ish Smith before. We are not excited to offer that same opportunity to Bayless with the potential to then re-enter free agency at either 28 or 29 having proven himself as either a starting quality PG in this league or, at worst, a very high-level backup.

The Bucks would like thank Jerryd for his veteran leadership and contributions he provided the Bucks over the past two seasons and his waive the rights/cap hold at this time. We also announce the signing of both draftees; Thon Maker signed for the standard 120% above scale with 4.5% raises (starting at $2,568,600) and Brogdon received ($980,431).

Bucks Current Roster and Payroll Status

PG - Galloway ($4MM Hold on offer sheet), MCW ($3,183,320), Ennis ($1,733,880)
SG - Middleton ($15.2MM), Brogdon ($980,431), Vaughn ($1,811,040)
SF - Parker ($5,374,320), Dudley ($10MM), Inglis ($980,431)
PF - Giannis ($2,995,421), Maker ($2,568,600)
C - Monroe ($17,145,838), Henson ($12,267,606), Plumlee ($5,273,235 Hold)

Stretch Provision - Sanders ($1,865,546)

Update: I will have free agency decisions posted for Day 2 tonight. Day 3's decisions will post mid-day Saturday with Day 4 posting the regular 11:00 PM ET on Saturday and Sunday's Day 5 posting at 11:00 PM ET
Disclaimer: Trades I post shouldn't make you stressed or angry if you disagree. If you say it's unproductive because it won't happen and we're only allowed to post deals that actually happen, it takes away 99% of trades here and the fun out of the board.

With the offer to Dirk on the table still the Detroit Pistons have sent out feelers to the agent of Dwayne Wade that if Dirk would come to Detroit on a 1 and 1 if Wade would like to do the same. The Pistons would have to clear out some cap space for him but to get both Dirk/Wade playing for the Pistons it would be good.

Our Pitch to Wade: First sorry for choosing Darko over you in the draft. Pistons love loyalty and you like Dirk have been nothing but that to your teams. Both of your teams have made decisions that have affected your chances at being in the finals. Coming here we have a team built that is only missing a player or two from being in the finals. Dwayne you have played well when having a defensive center and we have that here in Andre Drummond. You would get to play for Stan Van Gundy who you have played for before and helped that Heat team become top in the east and a trip to the Finals. You along with Dirk would be focal points to our offense. You already have lost Whiteside to the Lakers so you are one man down already in Miami. After the season both you and Dirk could come back for year 2 or test Free Agency when the cap goes up even more.

Barring a Dirk deal if your showing interest Mr Wade we can clear out the room to bring you in.

Our contract offer(barring a Dirk deal and trading of a few players) is 2 years 30 Million(flat 15 mil per) with PO in year 2. We are matching what Miami is offering but think you are a better fit to the Pistons then to Miami

Spurs would like to try and get verbal commitments from Boris Diaw and Manu Ginobili to be formally signed at the conclusion of Free Agency. 1+1 minimum offer for Diaw. 1+1 starting at $3.5mil for Manu. The long history of mutual respect and loyalty with these two men gives us confidence in the ability to bring them back.

Atlanta bumps their offer to Al Horford up to 5 years max with full Bird rights raises, 5th year PO.

Atlanta is also contacting Ian Mahinmi's representation to see if he'd be interested in playing next to Horford.

Still taking calls on Millsap if you feel like overpaying. Want to drop Splitter. Call me if you have a backup PG.

Chuck, you want to switch Harris for Splitter?
