There wasn't any rumor about Knight/Rubio trade. It was Bledsoe/Rubio. Knight is a terrible choice for Wolves, they need a guard who has playmaking abilities and some shooting.

Wow advanced stats are loving Cole Aldrich. His O/D differential is great as well as BPM numbers. Biyombo looks good, but in comparison (and in less minutes I should add) Aldrich trumps him entirely. Maybe McD is looking at those numbers thinking Aldrich has really turned the corner. I had noticed him in NY 2 seasons back as doing well in his role, but hadn't tracked his stats closely this last year. He brings some O (FG%, points, assists) and some D (blocks, steals, rebounds and good D rating)
The only problem with this is Aldrich will eat cap space and will probably have multi-year offers on the table.
McD is probably just looking at options right now at this point to see who or what might be out there before making a full decision on which direction to go

I think Knight fits that bill TBH. Better shooter than Bledsoe, better knees than Bledsoe, younger than Bledsoe...profiles as an off ball player next to Dunn.

Yea I totally forgot Dunn... They may not need our guards any longer.

At first when I saw the headline from BSOTS reading Suns targeting Cole Aldrich I thought really, but, but, why? McAnalytics that's why. Since it was rumored McD had interest in Bismsck last year I wonder if he snaps up Aldrich immediately when free agency begins. Major depth at center.

Yes, but I still think it could be important they learn some things from a vet. Now since Mirza isn't the smartest all around player, and really only would hit threes to give us unnecessary wins (with this approach), maybe a guy like David West does make more sense for the Suns?
I agree totally about West. He played for 1.1m last year
Maybe this year he wants to get back some of that lost 13m he opted out of. Make it a one year deal, like 13m or something very enticing. Always can buy him out at the trade deadline so he goes to playoff bound team. And he gets paid. Won't have the long term cap that Teletovic, who really only shoots three, and he can help Chriss and Dragan
I would take Dudley over Teletovic
I'm also not sure if West still wants to go to a contender or just get money. It seems he may just want money but maybe he opted out just because he knows there is a lot more money available and still wants to contend but see which contender can offer him the most.
I do think west is a guy to keep an eye on. He has ties to Warren and might be down for a nice check and some mentor duties if mirza gets some crazy deal and the suns go a different direction at PF. The Suns could pitch west on signing a one year bloated deal with a promise they will try to flip him to a contender at the deadline. I do question how much he has left in the tank though since he wasn't very good last year.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2016/6/30/12066514/phoenix-suns-free-agency-bazemore-dudley-d-will-or-patience
In a week, Tyson Chandlers contract for a team not getting Whiteside (Dallas, Miami) will be a good one
I think Dudley over Teletovic, or D Will makes sense. Bazemore at 15m is way too much. Let some other team make that mistake
If you trade Chandler, and it might not take the market to settle, it could be 24 hours from now, Cole Aldrich at half his salary for probably two years makes sense
Knight and Tucker in a week will be good deals - so pick up PJs options
The team is not going to be very good so get some solid cheaper guys, like the Blazers last year, and let the young guys play. And if you move Chandler and Knight, you have cleaned up your long term cap space or replaced it that cap space with players that better fit long term And if you need too, can pull a Sam Hinkie 101 and take on a salary of a guy, and buy him out.
So i read that article and all I got from it was the curiosity to google Fournier and now I regret it immensely.

Considering Noah is getting 18 mil, Chandler is a good contract. GSW get perfect Bogut insurance. We get Barnes, perhaps they throw in a draft pick even.
Again, this is only if Chandler wants out AND we want Barnes.
This is actually not a bad idea. I'm not a big Barnes fan but if we were able to dump Tyson's contract for him, then I am down. Ezeli may be gone, Bogut may be gone, and Tyson would love to be on a winning team like that and fits them pretty well.
What if Philly really over pays for Barnes - make it a three way
Chandler and Tucker to GSW
Barnes to Philly
Bogut and say Covington from the Sixers, or Stauskus
Suns get Chandlers contract off the books
Lakers supposedly want to talk to Parson, Chandler Parsons. I hope they sign him to a Max Deal and panic. Whiteside too. I just think those guys will not be good as prime players.

I know not asking me but I will answer
Two years at most. Not even an option in year 3
Two years 25m. And since its not my money, its more the years than the dollars

I'm not as hyped on signing Tele as some folks but I'd be fine with a one or two year deal in the 12-15 per range. Mostly because I think if he plays well they might be able to trade him for a young prospect or late 1st.

I think Homer Simpson said it best: "Keep Walking"
Team has moved in a direction that Terence Jones would be a good fit.

I don't hate Barnes. If we had drafted Hield, then I would be aboard his train, but we didn't. I think it is too early to bring Barnes aboard. If Knight was comfortable coming off of the bench and Bender and Len were solid starters or Chriss was able to play PF effectively and Bender was able to hold down the center position against anyone not named Cousins, Whiteside or Drummond, then I would be aboard the Barnes train.
We have no idea what we have outside of a bunch of young talented guys with the question of how do they fit together? That question wouldn't be answered correctly with Barnes coming in. He would be a monkey wrench.
Play it out next year. Play Bender and Chriss as much as possible without risking their mental psyche.

Re: The 2016 Offseason Thread (Post Draft)
Tyson had a hamstring injury.
He's never had one before.
You guys already know that, which makes your disdain for him.....befuddling.
Despite that, Chandler posted the 11th best rebound per 48 mark in the league for guys who played more than 800 minutes. (Cole Aldrich is one of these.)
For guys who played 1600 minutes, he placed 9th.
Of those, he had the 4th highest FG%.
Much as I like Alex Len, Cole Aldrich is significantly better. So was Tyson. I would absolutely be willing to move on from Alex. I just don't know if he puts it all together. With his rookie extension coming up, I'm weary about signing him to a long term deal. Same with Archie.
Tyson is, despite your moaning, one of the best bigs in the league. If anyone's getting traded, it's Alex.
Unless Tyson asks to leave, he's not going anywhere.
