No meeting with Durant, no meeting with Whiteside...

It's about what's expected, but some of the Lakers fanbase is going nuts. Shelburne yesterday was on a tear about KD specifically needing to respect the Lakers and at least give them a meeting.

Didn't think it would be possible for the LAkers to have less FA "success" without Kobe than with Kobe. The eve of FA and they haven't been able to schedule any meetings with top FAs.

Batum's having a phone interview with them (meeting in person with some other teams). Only one I've heard.

I'm definitely a little worried the Lakers keep their 2017 pick (top 3 protected) at this point.

Been debating asking a topic, who is the bottom 5 teams next year -- pre fa predictions.

ya, I guess having the best basketball player in the world had nothing to do with those two championships...And one can easily say that Miami team was a disappointment with only two championships.

I'm confused as to what part of the Heat plan you think is a bad idea. The Heat made four straight finals (unheard of) and won two of them.

What should they have done instead? Given up on Bosh and signed three MLE-level players? Not signed LeBron?

The heat plan worked because they had Lebron...My opinion is that the "big 4" Clippers are putting together there isn't a big enough margin for error with filling out the rest of the roster to make it work.

And a big three like we saw in Miami had never been seen before, and even though they made straight four finals in a weak East, I still think you could argue they were a disappointment. They were first to market with a super team which included the best player on the planet by a good margin at the time.

I don't like the plan for the Clippers and I don't think it will work. I have no issues with it for Miami, again, because they had a player that was just so much more dominant than anyone in the league, and through his prime, it cures a lot of ills.

So I guess the clippers pitch is solely based on durant taking less if their "big three"
are all gonna be in the meeting

If the Mavs are meeting with Batum then is Parsons likely out the door, or would they play them together?

Dallas has made it clear they don't see Parsons as a max player and he's made it clear he sees himself as a max player. And I think the market is going to agree with him. Looks like he has played his last game as a Maverick.

Was entirely unguaranteed with no guarantee date, so either they
1) Were so sure he sucks and cannot be the 15th man that they wanted to drop him now to do him a solid and let him find a better spot or
2) Were looking to have that last 1m in cap room in hand to show it for some big offers.

Going to be an interesting offseason in Minnesota.

Delly was tendered according to Haynes.

Hawks beatwriter Chris Vivlamore says that Dwight's #1 choice is Atlanta.

http://atlantahawks.blog.ajc.com/2016/06/30/are-the-hawks-at-the-top-of-dwight-howards-list/

However, I’ve heard that several people in the Howard camp believe the Hawks would be the center’s first choice as a destination.

Again, please, I’m not saying Howard is signing with the Hawks. I’m not saying the Hawks want to sign Howard. What I am saying is according to people close to Howard, they believe Atlanta would be his first choice. I thought it worth mentioning.

If there were mutual interest, it would open up a whole lot of interesting questions about Atlanta's roster moving forward.

And if Boston misses out on Horford (Hou?) and Dwight (Atl?), what on Earth do they do?
