Portland sending Dame to try and recruit Parsons makes it seem like they want Whiteside but think they dont have a realistic shot against Mavs? If you send Olshey/Dame/CJ and sell the hell out of Portland i'm sure they could convince him to sign. But They want to try and appeal to 2 players at once?

Signing Parsons means less Harkless and maybe no Harkless. So yeah, fk that idea. SMH

Batum is probably gonna make more than Parsons and is more injury prone/inconsistent. Parsons is a career 47% FG scorer and 38% 3pt shooter. I have Parsons as a better version of him.

Harkless over Parsons money aside? That is ridiculous.

Parsons and Mahinmi or Aldrich, plus one of Hendo/Harkless?

I think that

Lillard/CJ
CJ/Hendo
Parsons/Harkless
Aminu/Davis
Plumlee/Aldrich

Is a slightly better team than last year...basically switching Parsons for Crabbe and adding a defensive big to the bench rather than a certain 7' Center with nice hair who needs 5 feet+ of room to have a chance of making an outside shot.

Woohoo!!! We're slightly better!!

Well, just because the option of adding Parsons and Whiteside or Dwight is possible doesn't automatically mean it will work. For one, Lillard/CJ/Parsons are all weak-ish defensively. And all 4 of those players are going to need shots to be happy.

A big 4 of Lillard/CJ/Parsons/Howard borderline feels like a Whitsitt team to me--looks good on paper, but could massively implode in real life.

It's all speculation at this point.

When I heard Portland was interested seriously in Parsons, I went straight for tequila. Was gonna just have a nice vodka tonic and chill, but after hearing Parsons was serious for Portland, Whiteside was going to Dallas and Howard was Atlanta or Boston-bound, I went YOLO with it.

So I guess Whiteside values money above all else? I mean if you go to Dallas instead of Portland then you clearly do.

Yeah that's true. Sigh, still sucks tho. Probably shouldn't get too hyped about big FAs potentially signing. My bad

Even worse, Rice-clone last minute changed his mind and is signing with the Heat.

So with MIA apparently out and It seemingly down to Dallas and PDX, the only thing that I think Dallas has on PO is no state income tax. It sounds like we're trying to get both Parsons AND Whiteside too. You'd think our roster would be MUCH more appealing to a young athlete looking to compete.

Where is it down to PDX and DAL. All I've heard is it's down to DAL.

CP as in Parsons right? He is getting more than 14 Iooks like 20 minimum.

Don't make me feel worse than I already do....

You should change your expectations for players salaries with the new cap, guys like Solomon hill expect 9-13 million.

I don't give a crap about how much players are getting paid. It ain't my money and if it doesn't effect the cap any, who cares. I just hate Parsons and think he's wildly overrated. I hate that they'd pay 14 for him, let alone 20+.
