Matt Barnes you can return to Northern CA where you are from.

James Mc Addoo , Anderson Verajao and Ian Clark renounced.

You can't use TPE's to sign free agents mate. Now maybe you can talk their old teams into a S&T if they haven't renounced their rights, but a TPE is not the same thing as cap space in terms of signing free agents.

I'm not sure what a Dukan is. I don't value a nonguaranteed deal as I have only 11 players (assuming JR/Delle return).. 3 open spots after Koufos would be plenty to fill out the roster as I was unable to do the type of trades I had hoped to do.

Just make it rights to Felder and a second with the TPE? No need for a separate deal here. Looking at either a top 55 protected Portland 2nd or a 2021 Cleveland 2nd.. Assume I know which you'd choose.

Day 2 Signings and Trades
Note 1: You guys seem to be grasping your resulting cap space now, so I will note it for myself, but won't write it out until most likely Saturday.
Note 2: This work week and taking on this project has been stressful, so tomorrow after work I will be enjoying some drinks and don't want to drunkenly do the Day 3 Update/Result. Because of this, Day 3 Results will post mid-day Saturday with Day 4 Results posting the usual 11:00 PM ET Saturday night. Depending on FA we might be willing to offer up a future 2nd with some protection for Felder

Thanks for all the work! This is a fun simulation. Since some of us others may be up late drinking as well on day 3, if you are pushing back results, can you push back the closing of day 3? Like maybe 2 am EST?

Current Mavericks Roster:

Marcin Gortat/Salah Mejri/JaVale McGee/AJ Hammonds
(Dirk)/Sam Dekker/(Dwight Powell)
Justin Anderson/Bojan Bogdanovic/Corey Brewer/Tony Snell
Wes Matthews/Kevin Martin/Jason Terry
Deron Williams/JJ Barea/Devin Harris

Also I;m assuming I can have up to a 20 man roster at this point?

THIS WAS LATE SORRY
Cleveland update - not much of an update.

We are still waiting on Klutch and Delle. We understand they want to wait for offers, but we are 40% through the offseason you two. It's pretty much August

Matt Barnes offer stands...

We are close (I hope) to a deal with the Kings for a Kostas. If that doesn't come through Mozgov is still sitting in the corner, though we'd prefer to use our TPE to get 2K.

We contact Cedi and ask if he wants to come over this year?
We tried to look up his contract overseas but it isn't very easy to find. So anyways, we offer to buy it out if need be. The plan was to wait until next year, but we have some open roster spots and would love him this season. We'd like him to come over for the Hinkie special 2nd rounder 4 year deal. We would like an answer soon as we plan on holding a spot for him. We'd like him to come over while we are still playing at such an elite level, that experience would be great for him. We have A LOT of faith in the kid.

We still would like to move Frye, but without knowing about our FA targets we aren't even sure what we hope to get.

THere is a need for two deals. You can't combine a TPE with anything. THis is just a way to skirt around the CBA to make it legal. You're welcome to keep dukan, he makes the rookie minimum. However, you can also wave him and make it nothing too. Essentially the Deal is Koufos for the TPE, 2 2nd rounders and the rights to Kay Felder. I'm looking for 2 real future second rounders, not the top 55 top that are rarely conveyed. Koufos is worth AT LEAST that in this scenario. I mean Belinelli got a top 25 pick, lol. You also recently paid two FIRST rounders for Mozgov a lesser center as well.

CAVS roster - nothing changed :/ we got greedy in trades and they fell through so far.

(depth chart isn't official)

Thompson / Frye / Kaun
Love / fullmix-tape
Lebron / Jefferson
Shumpert / JR Smith / McRae
Kyrie / Mo / Felder

With pending FA offers to Dellavedova, Cedi and Barnes.

My roster ATM:

Schroder
Korver/Hardaway
Bazemore/Sefolosha
Millsap/Arthur
Horford/Splitter/Tavares/Muscala

Need to flip Splitter for depth 1-3.

EDIT:

Also--

I offer the Room Exception to DJ Augustin and put in a waiver claim on Andrew Goudelock (he has a minimum salary IIRC,so it doesn't affect cap room).

Ok, I'll up the offer to Favors/Hill. (to be clear, I thought my previous offers were quite strong)

To Favors
22
20
20
21.3
-------------
83.3 mil. This is MORE than Favors could possibly get over the same time period if he instead let his contract lapse then signed the maximum possible contract. Let that sink in. AT this point there is very little reason for Favors to decline. He gets more money and more security. Best of both worlds. The only benefit to the Jazz of doing this is to keep his salary more flat and that might help in a couple years when Hayward/Gobert/Exum need paid.

This uses 11 of the Jazz cap space leaving 13,939,249.00

To Hill
20
12
11.1
10.2
------------
43.3 mil

This uses 12 mil of the Jazz cap leaving 1.93 mil in cap room.
