If I say I like Movgov's deal better, how crushed will you be?

Not at all, but you'd be pretty wrong.

I dunno, that would feel crushing imo. That said, I think you are safe.

I find this kind of terrifying, but given that I am a fan of Timofey Mosgov, I am relatively optimistic for the Los Angeles Lakers here.

And yes, that sentence was a complete contradiction.

I could talk myself into that for the Celtics. For the Lakers? A 30 year old center seems a bad roster fit.

Lol I think the fan base of any team is gonna be disappointed signing Waiters but I would truly hope you guys wouldn't add him to Young and Lou (even as happy it would make me as a Kings fan). That would be the definition of miserable.

I wish NBA reported contracts like NFL. Moz contract has to have the last year a team option. So everyone is saying 16 per year. But really it's like 12 year 1, 14, 17, 21 (real rough numbers). Assuming a 34-35yo journeyman of a center doesn't earn that team option, really only 3 for 43 or 14ish per year.

Just trying to talk some Laker fans off the ledge.

This is hilarious. In what cap world do we live in that in the first moments of free agency without seeing any action out there, you fork over 16 mil per for Mozgov?

I mean I'm going to at least browse the menu before paying 16 bucks for a meal.

Why the rush here?

That would be even worse imo. I doubt they could get that kind of deal with the 4th year being a team option at his age, I'm sure if it's an option it's a player option and paying a 34/35 year old Mozgov 21 million would be painful no matter what the cap is at that point.

I think Mozgov has some bounceback in him, and even suggested him as a Laker in the Team-of-the-day threads, but even I didn't expect that.

I would have given him that AAV for *two* years, or four years at a smaller AAV. They'd better hope that bounceback happens...

Was this the "missing link" to a ring or something?

We are just getting started here, like paying a G for Baltic Avenue.

VERY, but only because of what is says about the state of the education system and the death of even functioning brain activity in people.

Kings are going to give Dion $20M/yr in a S&T with McLemore going to OKC. With quality coaching McLemore becomes the stud he was projected to be coming out of college.

That's literally the worst scenario that could possibly play out for us. We really don't deserve that.
