I like how this has tended to stay semi-realistic.

GMs have done a better job of following the spirit of this than I would have expected. I actually expected this to be 30 guys churning their rosters and ending with 30 unrecognizable teams at the end. (well, 29 as I didn't intend to join in the madness)

Great job everyone, especially you Sportscrazy for all your work.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Thank you for the offer, but I'm already heavy at the PG position and can't afford to take on more salary at this time.

Perhaps something like a 2nd and the rights to Nemanja Dangubic?

Can give you a choice between Landry or Richaun Holmes.

The Grizzlies will renounce the rights to Chris Andersen, Bryce Cotton, Russ Smith, P.J. Hairston and remaining cap holds missed.

Philadelphia offers:

Wesley Johnson 1 yr / 10 million with a team option for a second year at 10 million.

Since it seems like the Warriors will match our offer sheet to Barnes, we've got a lot of minutes available for you at SF. We want to give you an opportunity to come in and battle Covington for the starting SF spot and in either case you will get a ton of minutes.

Arron Afflalo 1 yr / 10 million with a team option for a second year at 10 million.

We also make the same exact offer to Arron Afflalo for the same reason - either of you guys can give us an important vet presence for our young pups.

Whoever accepts first gets it.

Anyone looking to dump a veteran point guard on a short term deal?

Not really a vet, but I could do Jerian Grant or Calderon for Covington

Don't think either of those have value approaching Covington's. I'd give you Landry for Calderon or Holmes and a 2nd for Grant.

What was your offer to Deng and for how much? How many offers out there for him?

Gilles wrote:So with signings of Biyombo and Hill, while still keeping Bradley Beal (just realised, that I occasionally refer to Biyombo as BB, but Wizards would have two BBs in my scenario. :) ) on his cap hold:
$32,259k for Wall, Morris, Porter and Oubre
$22,014k for Biyombo and Hill
$23,820k for cap holds of Anderson, Beal, Hickson, Sessions and Temple
$833k for the use of stretch provision on Martell Webster
$1,087k for 2 min cap holds.
All adding up to just above $80m.
Wizards are looking to potentially use $18.25 with th possibility of renouncing Alan Anderson. Plus Room Exception on top of that, but using it depends on how much salaries for Temple and Sessions exceed their cap holds as formal signing of Beal would already eat $7.5m out of $19m in difference between cap and LT threshold, and giving RE to someone would move the team by another $2.8m. Wizards are certainly not looking to pay LT this season.
Current depth chart adds up to:

Biyombo/.../...
Morris/Hill/...
Porter/Hill/Oubre
Beal/.../Oubre
Wall/.../...

Looking at the math above, Wizards continue to keep two deals on the table:
Al Jefferson - $12m over 3 years
Gerald Henderson - $24 million over 2 years, 2nd year - non-guarantee, decided by July, 2nd 2017, once team has an understanding, whether KD has interest to come over next summer.

Any interest in Monroe to compliment Bismack since I highly doubt Jefferson signed for $4MM per?

Edit: Or Henson for that matter.
I'm an eternal optimist, so I expect Jefferson to pick up that money. :D Actually, I can improve the offer a bit, just looking to spend the least possible amount of that 2017 cap space, which Monroe will really hurt.

Haven't followed Wizards that much this past season, but my understanding is that Porter started to show some return on that #3 pick investment. Durant is still a very, very distant possibility next summer, so not ready to part with Porter at this point.
