I never thought I’d lead the NBA in rebounding, but I got a lot of help from my team-mates – they did a lot of missing.

Who's the next giant waste of cap space?

there's a 3rd choice....neither, and that would be the best choice for that kind of money

This is a complete lack of composure by Olshey. You don't make a panic move like this after you strike out, 1/5 of the cap on a guy who can't shoot the 3 ball playing in a system that relies on the 3 ball

Well at least Turner has stayed pretty healthy, and can play defense.

Lack of composure? I'm sure they had Evans targeted as a backup long ago and didn't just close his eyes and hit the random button on his contacts list in his phone and go "BBBAAAHHH TAKE OUR MONEY!"

Evans will be helpful, but this does sting. I didn't even like Parsons, but the idea of him and Howard was amazing. Plus just simply getting rejected AGAIN with all that effort and money being thrown at Parsons. Where's my **** tequila.

$17.5 million is slightly high right now, but will be about right next July the cap jumps again. Especially if he benefits from the Blazers-bump to his outside shot.

I believe, on an escalating salary, we have not renounced any of our own free agents yet. That's a positive.

I don't want to question PDX's motives with the signing but perimeter defense especially in the NBA starts with a rim protector and extends out to the wings. Without a rim protector or "space eater" it just allows for slashing teams to feed on drives to the hoop. I just can't see paying Turner 70-75 million with obvious and glaring needs in the middle. I really hope that this is just the beginning of signings and not the capstone.
I never thought I’d lead the NBA in rebounding, but I got a lot of help from my team-mates – they did a lot of missing.

Mediocre overpaid Evans >>>>> Above average overpaid injured Parsons

Not gonna get into the contract part but, ET is quite the character and is extremely clutch (you guys saw that yourself two seasons ago). Underrated defender too. Good luck, gonna have to root for Portland now when we aren't playing each other.

With Turner, Aminu and probably Harkless on board Blazers badly need to add shooter or few in their rotation. Hopefull it won't be another crazy deal or Connaughton progressed well enough to replace him for next season.

what position will Turner be starting in? Will he replace CJ or Aminu? 17.5 million/year is almost 20% of the cap and that's too much to pay for a bench player

Yeah I think I like Evans over Parsons. Although is he really much of an improvement over Henderson? He is taller so that helps.

Why no on Pau? He's old but still productive.

I think he has zero chance of coming here, especially if the Spurs are in the race.
