All in for Joe Johnson

Post#1 » by RingsDontLie » Fri Jul 1, 2016 5:01 pm

Looks like Joe Johnson wants to get paid this year. We can make that happen. The guy can still provide good minutes. We need to get over ourselves and realize no big names are coming. Let's get Joe Johnson paid, at least he is a quality player that doesn't have any injury issues, and will be a good vet to surround our younger players with.

I'm sorry, you guys are right, with all these big names wanting to play here we need to be real picky.

The lakers made mozgov their 12:01 call and made him the first FA to switch teams. Pretty sure they got over themselves and their focus on a big name a long time ago.

That would be history repeating itself... (yeah I'm looking at you Atlanta Hawks)

I watched a lot of Miami in the playoffs, and the guy is on a sharp decline it looks like. Plus he's turned into a black hole, which didn't used to be the case at all. Just not even kind of a good fit here.

op really believes Johnson is worth that big money deal
2014: Randle / Clarkson
2015: Russell / Nance
2016: Ingram / Zubac
2017: Top 3 Pick? Fultz, Ball or Bust

OP really believes we're assembling a squad to compete for the championship next year.

And all out on Joe Johnson. Not too bad a deal for Utah... more than anything he should fit their style of play... aka boring and plodding.

I kid. I meant athletic while still boring and plodding.

At least Deng is younger. I'm happy with either or really.
