Thought I read that Ulis might miss the whole season.

I can't tell if that's a rumor someone made up to hurt his draft stock or if he really does need hip surgery. If it's just Bledsoe and Ulis, Price makes some sense, though I'd rather sign a different PG...maybe another young guy, undrafted free agent or something or a guy with a couple years in the league. Price is a decent vet guy to have around, though Bledsoe does seem to be evolving into more of a leader/vet type.

We should have signed GP3 as a UDFA, the rockets nabbed him. Imagine him spelling Beverly. Price shoots well below 40% for his career and is a dumb defender who is just pesky and hyperactive, he gets burnt on the ball pressuring drivers and gets called for reaching in every time

I know. Him and Felder got nabbed, but I imagine after drafting Ulis, that would be somewhat counter intuitive (at least for his morale) to sign another rookie immediately after the draft.

There you will see Conley's beyond incredible averages of 15 pts, 6 ast, and 3 rbs per game on phenomenal 42% fg and 36% 3pts in 31 mpg. Truly historic. A 28 year old player who only played 56 games this past season with those averages is surely worth 30+ million a year.

I have NEVER seen so many bad signings or atleast panicking GMs use up close to 20% of their salary cap on non all star players...

These teams who panicked are going to be using 90% of their cap on 4 or 5 players and the rest will need to be minimum contracts to stay under the cap.

Would be a hilight reel if set up properly by our guards, cheap and when our youngins are ready no need to feel bad about less minutes. The dude is a stellar athlete and could still develope his game more.

I would prefer Dudley. Williams is pretty much just an athlete with poor fundamentals and low basketball IQ.

If we are talking about someone coming in and STARTING at pf, I would rather someone who physically fit the bill. Can you actually say you want to see Jared (athletic hands..... meaning slow as ****) Dudley being our starter at power foward?? He is not better than Pj Tucker, as a matter of fact us having Pj made Dudley expendable...... and we still have TUCKER!! Who people hate!!

How many people would be for or against the following hypothetical sign and trade:

Maxed out Harrison Barnes for Tucker and Chandler

Suns dramatically overpay for Barnes but at the same time shed Tucker and Chandler's contracts from the books. Therefore the Suns are only adding a few million dollars to the overall payroll. This keeps them in line to have an enormous amount of cap space next year.

Memphis just offered Mike Conley the richest contract in NBA history -- $153 million over 5 yrs. In other words, he's not coming to Dallas.

Denver is finalizing a three-year deal with forward Darrell Arthur, league source tells @TheVertical.

Another option at PF out of the market.

Good let all these stupid GMs and teams blow all their $$$$. The smart teams (like us) will be able to use their cap space and flexibility to gain the advantage in the next few years. :naaa:

No need to take the U.S. back Trump, its doing fine if you are in the right profession! Just think, the owners are able to pay these guys. Mike Conley? If I were Goodwin, I'd be happy too. He knows all he has to be is average and he and his family will be set for generations to come in a few years.

What about ESPN and TNT paying for these NBA contracts (TV rights)? What about the companies paying the networks the money to afford to pay the NBA?

Incredible.

Mike Conley will be making 600k a week for 5 years. It would take a person making 100k a year one thousand five hundred years to make that much money. That's 76.5 generations!!!

He's sixth best pg according to RPM http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/RPM/position/1

You can find Brandon Knight on page 2 http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/page/2/sort/RPM/position/1

Check out DRPM (not for Conley but for our players) http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/DRPM/position/1

And for those interested ORPM (of course anyone could have sorted the first link by any category) http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/DRPM/position/1

Edit: One more perspective. That's the average American Household income for 3000 families over five years :o

He can buy a small island and grow crops for his family tree a thousand years down the line...

Or go broke in 20 years.

Im just baffled on the amount of money being thrown around... Its not even in the increments of 1 or 2 million dollars...

Conley is worth around 17 to 18 million a year in my book based on the new cap.... But he is getting double that. I've never felt so poor lol.

I think McD should start negotiating with Len and Goodwin soon.

Maybe lock up Len for 4 years at 14 million a year.
Then lock up Goodwin for 4 years at 6 million per year.... So Len at 4/56 million and Goodwin at 4/24 million.... I think both would agree to that.

We should use our cap space to swindle desperate teams out of their future draft picks.

Dwight to ATL paves the way for Horford in PHX....

Not that he'd sign with us, but I'm sure McD has interest.

Return to Phoenix Suns
