I like Thornton, and Nene back, they both can score consistently. I wasn't a fan of Sessions this past year, he drives hard to the lane but doesn't finish well.

Yes to Dudley -- but I don't want his return as back up 4. Before playing w/ the Wiz he was never an NBA 4, and he isn't capable of playing in that spot. Over his career he has strictly been a wing, where he can be very productive. In fact -- because everyone seems to have raw recruit Oubre pencilled in as the main backup at the 3, which I consider to be a very optimistic notion -- I'd want him as our 2d unit player at that spot.

I want Hickson back, especially at low cost. He has played almost as much 4 as 5 in the league, and he has had some very productive seasons and is only 27. He'll certainly come cheap and will be a terrific bargain.

Temple as well -- he's a useful player and not terrible.

As to Sessions, it all depends on cost. He may not have pushed up his value as much as we are imagining. We'll see. He has been a lot better than any obvious cheap alternatives I can think of right now.

That's it. No Nene, Neal, Anderson, Thornton, Gooden or Eddie for me.

I'm fairly certain the price tag on Dudley is going to be too rich for my taste. I'd like to see Hickson and Temple back on cheap contracts and I think it's possible.

For all the flak that Sessions gets around here, I think he's a rock solid backup PG and his ability to create half-decent offense by himself is a big value on the second unit, which has no shot creators. The offensive capability of the 2nd unit will be even worse next year if Nene is gone.

I like both Temple and Sessions, but the prices for backup guards keep going up. First 3/18 for Ish Smith, then 3/27 for Bayless, and now 4/39 for Delly. If wer're going to splurge on a backup guard, I'd rather bring Sato over.

Edit: DJ Augustin also got 4/29. Looks like the going rate for backup PGs is 6-10 mil.

I think it might take $3 or $4 million to keep Hickson. It might be better to pass if it takes a 4 year deal.

God I hope not. I can't handle another year of Temple. So many players have passed through this org with far more worth than Temple...yet he is like a nuclear cockroach. Why can't we just get rid of him?

The Dough Boy returns to the Suns, they can have him for 3-years.

I wasn't too interested in keeping Dudley anyway. Hickson would be worth bringing back, played really well for us. What about Drew Gooden??

Gooden had a non-guaranteed deal for $4M, but I'm not sure what the guarantee date is. If it hasn't passed yet, we could just keep him on the roster (assuming we don't need the cap space). He'd be a bargain at this point.

If Hickson's price starts to look it will take the room exception, I'd start looking younger. But Hickson at the minimum once the dust settles is fine with me.

Temple at a decent price would still be an OK 5th guard. And now he has a nickname, the Nuclear Cockroach.

Temple
Nene
Anderson
Hickson

Are there 4 people in no order I would assume the Wizards would bring back.

Congrats to Temple who has a bunch of teams trying to sign him.

Hope he gets paid - but by someone else. I think Utah had a small interest last season.

Not fair! EG's used to bidding against himself for his own FA.

Congrats to Garrett Temple on the great deal he got from the Kings. It would have been nice if the Wizards could have kept him, but not at that price.
