Turner said he worked out with Kyle Korver — Horford’s Atlanta teammate — in Santa Barbara, Calif., on Thursday. Korver told Turner that Horford was ultimately going to re-sign with the Hawks. But then on Friday, Turner said, Horford sent Korver a text message asking him to call him, and Turner had a sense that something might have shifted.

If I'm the Hawks, I'd rather pay Dwight for 4 years than Horford for 5.

Gay for Ian Mahinmi. Indiana gets a scorer, and the Kings get another seven footer.

Who says no to that?

No way.

The Kings don't need ANOTHER big on the roster.

Mahinmi is UFA. Pacers cannot trade him unless it's a S&T -- which would be even worse for the Kings given how ridic contracts are right now.

This is going to make it soooo much easier for guys like LBJ and Wade to leave money on the table.

Apparently Rajon Rondo meeting with Chicago. I wonder whether it was his side that's starting to initiate meetings...

I'm sure he takes the offer and asks the Kings to beat it.

He's got zero leverage right now, as Vlade has been quiet besides saying if the finances work out. He's got to start somewhere. If I'm the Bulls I start "Thrifty" myself too, see if someone else beats a "lesser" offer first.

I'm going to sit out any discussions on the T&T board for a long while. I am just perplexed by the new reality of the NBA and the salary figures I am seeing.

Steph Curry is a cellar-dweller-dollar contract in comparison to some of what we've seen today! I can't even imagine what next offseason will look like!

Horford has apparently met with Washington, Houston, Boston and "a mystery team". (Presumably not Atlanta...any other teams ending with "ton" that fit the pattern?)

Portland not messing around.

Are you sure? I mean, I even LIKE Evan Turner, but I don't 70 million dollars like him.

I don't even 70 million dollars like Scarlett Johanson. If I had to choose between 2 doors and 70 million dollars was behind one and a desperately horny Scarlett was behind the other, then she better go put an unbalanced load in the washing machine, because I have a lot of money to go spend.

Good on Evan though.

Lakers probably want to get in on Crabbe too now that Bazemore is out of the equation.
