Is this a no on the deal? Need to know to make more moves if necessary.

Hmm im a bit tempted honestly. I wanna drop the mclemore goodwin portion, but i dont think knight is enough for gay, its close, but im trying to figure out how to evennit out. Id really like to get a back up SF by moving Gay. Thoughts?

Just spitballing but to help a deal Detroit would offer up Reggie Bullock in this deal in exchange for the rights to exchange 1sts in 2017 with Phoenix :D

Speaking of Reggie Bullock, what are you looking for in return, 2nd round pick draft rights?

Actually the only reason I want Gay (not a huge fan of his) is because I am at least three deep at every position and one deep at SF. The good thing about Knight is that you have him locked in at $14 million for 4 years while similar players are getting outrageous contracts. The reason I had Goodwin and McLemore in it was because I thought Knight was more valuable being under contract. Gay can leave in a year. Goodwin you would have on restricted FA and he is a good passer who can get to the rim. Knight can play PG or SG. And if you wanted additional shooting, you can take John Jenkins who is better than most know.

I hear ya. How about greasing the wheels with a second round pick of yours. Knight/2nd for Gay. I need mclemore still as i dont have a proven dedicated SG besides him.

Well from my perspective Knight has more value because I have no illusions of this team sniffing the playoffs so giving up a guy under contract for 4 more years at a reasonable price for a guy that probably leaves in a year (I wouldn't probably re-sign him) doesn't make sense. The thing that helped was that I felt maybe McLemore comes along. Without him it doesn't make much sense at all for Phx. I figured Sacramento was more win now with Cousins and Knight is better than McLemore and can play pg or sg. I'd probably prefer Casspi and McLemore.

Well trying to keep this realistic thebkings wont be trading casspi.

If you wanna do the gay/ knight swap it'd benefit both our rosters. I think you talked me into that swap.

Been thinking about this but Bullock for the draft rights to Deyonta Davis if you have the cap room if not we need to add a contract in there somewhere

Im about to go to bed. Ill do a straight Gay for Knight swap. I thibk gay is the better player but i thibk the swap balances rosters for vith teams better. If youre agreeabke pm sportscrazy and ill do the same in the morning.

I noticed you were interested in a bench SF. I got Caron Butler, any interest?

Can't let off of Davis. He's part of the Grizzlies future.

Here's what I'm thinking:

PF J.Martin and the TPE from the Jeff Green trade worth 450,000
couple of second rounders: 1 in 2018 and 1 in 2020
draft rights to Rade Zagoric

Just wondering if there was any interest in a Jodie Meeks for the rights to Furkan Kormanz deal.

You would get a vet who can hit a 3 pt shot on a 1 year prove it deal

I think I'll keep Knight for now as I like his production and price, and that he is locked in, particularly in the new salary era.

Thank you for the offer, but I'm already heavy at the PG position and can't afford to take on more salary at this time.

Perhaps something like a 2nd and the rights to Nemanja Dangubic?

I will get back to you with this deal when I get off work later tonight.

Before I forget

The Detroit Pistons offer a Max 5 year contract to Andre Drummond(to be signed after we try and add more power to the team first)

Pitch: Dre we love you and want you to be the center piece to our core. You and RJ run the pick and roll well and the city of Detroit loves you. Come help change our address to 7 championship drive.

Does it have to be Gallo

What about faried, chandler and Barton plus that future first instead

Sorry but Chandler is too risky regarding his injuries.
What about Mudiay instead of your SF? You have a young stud in Murray on the PG

Can't combine simultaneous and non-simultaneous TPE. In other words, can't put together player's salary and TPE. Someone's salary must fit into TPE in its entirity.

None.
