What do y'all think?

I honestly like Monta Ellis' game a little more. His last season in Dallas was special, and I think he has a higher love/drive for the game. Monta had an offseason surgery and I felt there was a feeling out process last season with the Pacers. Vogel also seemed to not figure out how to fully develop his role on the team imo.

I don't think Rudy has the best idea of buying into a team concept (somewhat similar to Monta). Rudy basically is a poor Mans Paul George. Whenever I get frustrated with Paul George is when he's playing like Rudy Gay.

Maybe it would be a good trade for both teams...but I feel like it's not gonna make much of a difference for the Pacers or Kings if they're swapped.

Talent-wise, I like Gay better than Monta. But when it comes to team fit, Monta still fits better than Gay. Beyond the decent stats, Monta reads situations well, and is a good playmaker even in transition. I honestly think Monta is a perfect fit to what Larry is trying to do. In addition, having Gay will only result to a logjam at the SF/PF spots and I do not think it would be wise to make PG play the 2.

I am not a Rudy Gay fan, doesn't seem to fit the vision at all.

I didn't think Momta fit with last year's team that well and it would only get worse when you subbed Teague for Hill. Gay would allow Pacers to play a silly long small ball line up with PG moving to the 2. I don't see a log gam at the 3/4, just the ability to play fast and long all the time. All that said, I like the theory of adding Gay. Remains to be seen how well Rudy Gay would adapt to coming off the bench and or being a number 4 option. Pacers would probably expect him to be a better defender too. Gay at least has the measurables to be a good defender. Ellis will never be anything other than ordinary.

I like it and understand the move. I don't like it more than what I thought we were gonna do, which was sign a 3 and D guy to play shooting guard, resign Mahinmi with Bird rights, and move Ellis to be a score-first sg/pg sixth man.

But i like it. And we still have Stuckey for that scoring sg sixth man role.

Ironic for Ellis that he chose us over Sacramento last year.

I think you could run with a lineup of Teague, Gay, George, Miles and Turner and switch all day and make other team's crazy. All five players are decent threats from deep, athletic and long. Seems like a good, high-scoring small ball option. I definitely like the added versatility. Probably need to add a more traditional shooting guard at some point, but overall I'd like the look and feel of our first eight guys. Teague, Stuckey, Gay, George, Miles, Jefferson, Young, and Turner is a strong group.

I would much rather have Teague/George/Gay than Teague/Ellis/George if this is the only or best trade option.

The way I see it you have Ellis, Stuckey, maybe Allen and picks as decent trade ammunition. If this is the best you can get I am okay with it.

I like the idea for the flexibility that it provides. Also Ellis plays with the ball in his hands which will affect how often Teague has it. I would much rather have Teague setting up guys like Gay, George, Young and Turner than having him and Ellis trying to share dominating the ball. Also Ellis will likely take shots and touches from Paul and Myles. Several benefits of adding Rudy include.... Gay is comfortable playing the four next to Boogie. So Paul wouldnt have to play any four. Gay would allow for Young to come off the bench. Gay is also probably a better shooter than Ellis or Thaddeus. Additionally Rudy and Paul are good buddies so I think it may be a good move considering the team just traded his good buddy George Hill.

Teague/Stuckey/Young
Free agent/G. Robinson or Miles
George/Gay/Young
Gay/Young
Turner/Jefferson

Well, first, it's a really bad source. Evan Massey has a VERY poor track record, and has been caught in some very "incorrect" reporting in the past. I'd rate him as a completely untrustworthy guy in breaking news, but one who will spit out whatever any employee of any franchise wants him to spit out.

Otherwise, I don't love it. Sacramento, and Rudy, played awful with Rudy at the 4 in small ball lineups. Otherwise, we have a GREAT 3 in Paul George, who will demand the lion's share of minutes there. Essentially, Gay is relegated to playing 10-16 minutes backing up the 3, and then would have to be played 15-25 minutes out of position at the 4, where he has played very poorly in the past. I really don't like that.

Honestly, we would've been a better fit for Belinelli. Any 2 guard with size. Not a pure 3 like Gay. He's talented, but he's not yet to the point of his career where he has to play the 4, nor where he understands how to play it.

I like the trade. We can go back to PG playing the 2 spot like we did when Danny Granger was here. Sets up mismatches very well for us offensively. With the addition of Rudy Gay we will not be undersized on defense like we were when Ellis was trying to guard some bigger 2 guys. Like Klay Thompson easily putting up 45 on a nightly basis against the Pacers

I prefer Monta. Don't think the gap between them is too far, but I've seen Rudy under perform and it's a lot worse for the team than when Monta has a bad game.

I don't think any of the rumors have sources beyond the trade board. The Willie Reed interest couldbe real but that's not a trade.

Well, legitimacy now. Stein is reporting that Sacramento has talked to us about a Gay for Ellis swap, but we prefer to swap Stuckey instead. He later reports that Sacramento are really pushing to deal Gay and compares him to Monroe in terms of teams offering up players.

Gay still isn't high on my list. Stuckey for Gay would put PG at two, wouldn't it? Then why not trade Monta unless he's to backup Teague.

I don't think I'd mind. Gay is expiring, which is huge heading into next offseason. Stuckey can be flipped as soon as he has a decent stretch so we might as well clear Ellis now. We can re-sign Gay if he clicks, if not we let him expire.

If the Pacers can keep Ellis, count me in :)

Don't know if they will win many playoff games, but it sure will be fun watching Teague/Ellis/Miles/PG/Young/Gay/Turner/Jefferson play together and produce grotesque offense

This deal is likely dead now. Rudy for Monta is about dead even in terms of value. Sounds like Bird is trying to get over with that Stuckey offer.

Kings have players I'd like just not Rudy.

If it meant getting George then Yes I think he would be willing to add him with Gay in a deal for George . I know he prefers to not give him up but may have to if getting George .
I do not know anymore facts on this other than Vlade is trying to get Indy to give up George . If he could do this IMO this would be the biggest and most significant trade the Kings have done since getting Chris Webber . May not happen though .

Usually I think your info is legit but I don't buy the George chatter. Just can't see Indiana dealing him right now. And don't think Gay WCS and BMac is even enough.

If he somehow does though then bravo.

If you don't believe me that's fine . As I have always said info I get is via my source so I am just letting you all know .
Again If you don't want to believe it that's fine .
I know it is being talked about . I am not saying it will happen .

Why do you think Sam Amick and stated that M.Steins version of Kings talking to Indy about M.Ellis as well as Stuckey ? Simply because he knew we were talking to Indy and was guessing players names thinking no way George's name would be brought up via trade . Anyways we very well may not get him but P.George's name has been brought up and Yes in the right deal Indy would deal him contrary to your not believing me .

Hey I am the messenger not the one whom is the inside source . I am just the person whom has the inside source .

Look what I found on the Sac trade board. This is delusional thinking.
