With all due respect to Horford, it was the right call for the Hawks. The Hawks had a good defense with Horford at the 5, they'll have an elite one with Howard. Plus three years for Dwight is preferable to 5 years for Horford.

I might talk myself into that, but if the choice is Bazemore at 4/70 or Horford at 4/108(?), I still take Horford.

Even if you've already got Millsap at $20M per? And I think Horford wants that fifth year - badly.

I do. In the spirit of those poll options when he signed, I'm just not a Bazeliever.

(My guess is Chuck did the options?)

But you turn around and trade Milsap and roll out a lineup with a 3 from the Milsap trade.

Presti better get a Kanter trade lined up in a hurry because it sounds like Horford's making his decision tonight.

I have to call Horford out on this, he said that he want a better center to play with him and go back playing his natural positon as PF and Atlanta is doing both of them.

I know that he is a very classy guy, but I have to wonder about this.

That was me. Chuck hates polls. I just make puns that make everyone *else* hate polls.

I don;t know that that is a call out thing though, the sense I get is he isn't changing that preference. He would be the pf on Washington for instance.

Now, Boston gets more interesting. There he is the center most likely but it also has a chance to play with IT instead of Schroeder. Bazemore Crowder I don't see as a big swing, especially considering Bradley/Korver at this career stage. What Boston has that makes it stick out more is the remaining cap space, the remaining Brooklyn picks, and the serious chance at Durant, either now or after one year and an OKC 1+1.

That, and no debate about who should be the pf between Milsap and Horford. I mean, its definitely possible that:
Bazemore/Milsap/Dwight is the most effective front court of all the combos of those 3 and Horford just off fits. The fear of a reduced role would make me take Boston even if I didn;t see Durant coming as worth considering.

I bet that what he's been doing these past few days (Rockets hint hint). And I don't buy this: Washington? Yeah, sure.

The Kings haven't locked up Waiters yet. It's not too late to go in another direction.

If the Celtics land Horford, I can't help but wonder if they decide to just totally go for it and offer up that 2017 BKN 1st for Noel.

IT, Bradley/Smart, Crowder, Horford, Noel is an amazing lineup.

If they wanted Noel that badly, they would've traded #3 for him on draft day. That pick is more valuable than #3.
Handsome.
