Good rather have him than the other guys, 4 years is questionable tho.

We still have 6M left to spend on one more big - hopefully defensive minded. I don't mind the four years as Leuer is only 27 years old.

I like it. Just over $10 million a year in this climate is solid for a rotation big that can shoot. There's room for another contract in the same range too even without dumping Baynes and Bullock.

Solid. Upgrades the backup 4 in a huge way over AT.

I really like it with Ish Smith's speed and passing being able to set up shooters like Leuer for wide open shots.

11% of the cap for capable rotation player is market value i guess. He s also a pretty good rebounder, 4 years is quite a bet. He can't be a bust, SVG has to be right on this one. Not as sexy as all the other names, but a very good fit.

I like it. We can nitpick when it comes to salaries, but it's a signing I *understand*. I know what position he's going to play, I know what role he's going to fill, we can anticipate the kind of production he'll provide...and he's better, younger, faster, more consistent than Anthony Tolliver.
It's an upgrade.

We basically just replaced Tolliver with Leuer.

I can get behind this. Was stretching out to the 3 last year, and seems to be a very smart, agile big man.

Still cant understand how marvain williams is not being mentioned anywhere. Thought he was a very strong candidate to be taken out of charlotte by someone. Batum not getting the max made me think it was more likely they were keeping both, but i havent even seen him mentioned anywhere. Pretty strong option for a stretch 4 in todays league.

Unlikely we will see Anthony Tolliver return now though. Leuer should play much of the same role.

Not too shabby. He was on my list but I liked Andrew Nicholson more. That being said he has no foot speed and is probably a 5. I've said it so, so many times: In SVG I Trust.

Bench Rotation:
Blake --> Ish
Hilliard/Stanimal/Reggie B --> Reggie Bullock
Stanimal --> Stanimal
Tolliver --> Leuer
Baynes --> Baynes

A TRUE PG, two shooters, a do it all SF and a nice C. I'll take it.

I'm a little confused, mainly because I don't know anything about Leurer. Looking at his percentages he can shoot and has range...but was he really needed? Drummond,Baynes,Harris,Morris already take up the majority of minutes at PF/C. And Ellenson's there too.

10 million seems like a lot of money for someone they don't need?

11% this year, at most 9.5% next year and most likely still declining after that. That's why I like the length of the deal. Leuer fits as a stretch four and a matchup against stretch fives while being a threat to shoot. I might actually like his athleticism and ability to take it to the rim more though. Makes a lot of sense.

Younger than Teletovic, but not quite as good and got an extra year and a bit more per year.

Slight overpay?

Im guessing the remaining cap will go towards a third center?
