now the question is, who would you rather have at 4/70, Turner or Biyombo?

updated number is 4/72

Unfortunately we have almost nothing to trade for Vucevic, and even if we did I don't think he'd be a good fit considering we need a defensive center...

obviously Vucevic is NOT a defensive C but he's 25 and on a great contract and can score big time and rebound decently. If he's on the bloc; Plumlee (they will need a backup) and capspace for Vuc?

I'm not overlooking it, but the Blazers would have to renounce a ton of players in order to get any significant amount of capspace. I'm juts proposing that ~40 million in young players locked into contracts gives us more options than 20 million in unused space and certainly more than a 35 year old eating up a big chunk of that usused cap. Again, I'm not saying we match any outrageous offer such that our players are easy to trade if and when we want them to be.

Portland doesn't have to bust either the cap or the salary floor to field a team with good trade leverage

How is Gasol going to help our trade leverage?

They need a point guard or a wing that can score. The last thing they need is another big man back for Vuc. I could see them making a deal with Pheonix for Bledsoe or Knight.

Anderson to Houston for 4/80. Yikes. That is uhhh..

Well. Needless to say we will not be the worst defensive team in the league.

So Trevor booker got signed for 9m a year for two years. I'm thinking the Blazers could have totally done that. Rather that deal than a max on pau. But if we got to spend , then might as well. So far I'm giving our off season a B-/ C+.

he won't

but it's just as possible that Crabbe and Meyers won't help it either.

I think having Gasol and 10 million in space for an unbalanced trades is a much better circumstance then having Meyers and no space

Cole Aldrich is the next guy on my free agency board for us.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Horford/Millsap, Vucevic, Phoenix, and Durant. I think once Durant signs the market will go bonkers for a while.

I have a feeling there's no credibility to this, but...

Marvin Williams for only 13 M. Another cheaper alternative.

I am.. pretty sure this is a joke that is going over people's heads in reference to the top 55 protected second round for Moe trade last year.

I'd be willing to absorb his contract and give a 2nd rounder, probably about all though.

Maybe Portland turns their attention to him after Gasol ends up in San Antonio?

As a Bucks fan, why do you think the team has soured on Monroe as quickly as they have? Is it really only his defense?
